Same here, it seems like when I have 6 mins left for the last passage I usually get them all right.... weird.fosterp wrote:In my start on recent PT's, all of the games in 46 47 48 seemed so straight forward and easy compared to the stuff from 7-38.
However the RC on these three sections killed me on 47 and 48. Funny thing about it though is I ran down to 5 minutes when I got to last RC on PT 48, so I opted to just skim the passage, circle some names of viewpoints, and bracket around the descriptions of the three organisms in the second paragraph, and managed to get them all right. Missed more than half on passage about native canadians and property rights....I don't even know why, gonna review that later.
Also anyone know what the deal is with the score curve on those tests? Upon scoring 48 I felt like my score put me at least 170 with a good score making up for my crappy RC, but the -12 translates to a 167. Did the makers feel this test was easier than others?

Re: October Retake Progress
Took about 3 days off from studying LSAT for a roadtrip + college football game. PT tomorrow, hopefully mind is refreshed.

PT 49
LG - 2 (best ever, hadnt seen any of the games)
LR -5 (left 3 blank and ran out of time
)
RC -5 (Maize RC, somehow didnt do too bad)
LR - 2 (2 misses were left blank and ran out of time)
-14 / 86 / 166
Wow. Got my best LG section ever and makes me feel awesome going into the newer PTs. Despite missing 7 on LR combined, 5 of those misses were questions I skipped and ran out of time on - meaning I need to slightly improve my speed but accuracy was very good on questions I attempted. RC still hovering around -5 or so.

Re: October Retake Progress
This is really frustrating. 3 weeks before the test and im doing very well on recent LG sections (-3,-4,-2,-2) compared to older ones ( i would miss 8-11) yet im missing up to 6 im some LR sections and bombing RC's with -8s. Hopefully its the layoff from prepping i just had....
PT 48
LR -6
LG -2
RC -8
LR -3
I used to be a -2/-3 LG section away from the 170s. Now im missing tons of LR and RC and its completely opposite....

I miss the -0's -2s and -3s of the 30s LRs and RCs... not the 4 5s and 6s of recent. After going 166 167 and 166 I follow up with 162 and 161. Curve differences I know. Looks like that 170 is becoming more and more of a pipe dream....

PT 52

PT 53
86/167 7 wrong entering last section, 7 wrong on that section to drop me from 174-167 in 1 section
Taking June 2007, PT56, PT 59 and PT 60 with some assorted practice sections until test day. My last PT will probably be October 4th or 5th.
