I don't remember this one. Any idea if the student/teachers and fri/sat working was real or experimental? Leaving the country in tomorrow and won't have time to cancel after that....

Re: Got OWNED/PWN3D by LG!!! (LG talk ONLY in this thread, thx)
I had only one LG and one RC, so they were obviously both real. RC had Darwin, hieroglyphics, Edith Warton, videotaped testimony.
Regarding the LG - I was p3nwd by the Oaks/Spruces/Poplars game. Was that the trails one? It was an in-out game similar to birds in the forest, and for some reason it was much harder than the ones I'd been PTing for the past month. Don't know if it was test-day nerves or what, I couldn't get some of the questions. I guessed on two of them and moved on because it was sucking all of my time. This was my second game in the section.
The third game was juicers/mixers. Difficult, but I got through it fairly quickly.
Fourth game was the weird either-or game. FH or HK, LJ or JL or whatever it was. This game was a major time-suck. Not difficult, just very time-consuming because there were literally hundreds of possible combinations and no easy way to infer deductions about the lineup. You literally had to just graph each answer out to see which one was right. I missed the last one on this game simply because time was called.
So after improving my games performance immensely, I'm hoping for a -3 at best. This LSAT was a throwback to the tests in the 30s, at least in the LG.

Re: LG OWNED me. (LG talk ONLY in this thread, thanks)
unless you are referring to me, than there is more than one. This LG section was highly focused on basic logic and it was pretty straight forward. LG is the only section i ever have time trouble on, and I finished this one AND I didn't run into trouble. It sounds like the experimental was brutal thoughcan'tbelievei'mhere wrote:Yeah, so I know there is one guy floating around on these boards who is loving being smug about how easy the LGs were. Great, good for you, go away.
I thought the real LG was hard - because nothing was definite, because all of the games were similar (i.e. no sequencing, nothing to pin down), because all were time-wasters, etc. And I personally thought these games were especially hard because I happened to get them first!
Basically I left the test room miserable. Without that LG I think I might have had a shot at a score I think I'm capable of/ is representative of my abilities. Instead, with the LG we got - who knows!? I am so bitter. I could have been in a different chair, and received a different test, and I might have taken that LG in any section other than first. Maybe that would have helped. Or I could have taken ANY OTHER F-ING LSAT (yes, including the June 2009 test, with the dinosaur game that was NOT that hard) and I would have been fine with the LGs.
The LSAC is fascist, the LSAT is so capricious and infuriating, and I am screwed.

OMG I'm so glad to know I wasn't the only one that got raped in the butt by LG...
I had LG in the first 3 so I thought it was going to be a exp....nope!
I barely got to the last game, guessed alot on the last one
5-6 Ds in a row...

I am considering canceling based on the LG section. I finished them all (except one question) but I felt so shaky on it. This was my third time taking it. I hoped I would finally hit where I was PTing.
Sad trombone.

LG was brutal. Also had 2 LG. 1st was the real one. 1st was the brutal one. First game on LG1 was so bad that I skipped it 3 minutes into it and came back.

Cancel time! Just to make sure-- the section with the trees and kitchen utensils was REAL and the section with one game about urban music and shit was EXPERIMENTAL right? If so I felt way better about the experimental one
Was hoping to come on here and find out that that was the real one.
EDIT: Sorry I can't be clearer on the games I'm asking about, but I seriously can't remember anything. Its like my brain just went through a severe traumatic event and decided to block everything out.

Was the class terms game the first game in the real section? trying to remember the order bc I did the first one last and had to guess on the last three bc I ran out of time. Little help, thanks!

Re: Got OWNED/PWN3D by LG!!! (LG talk ONLY in this thread, thx)
I didn't find it to be the hardest LG I've ever done, but not the easiest. I had gotten some -1 to -3 on most recent LGs, but I feel like this one was at least a -6 or -7. I had to guess on the last 4 because my proctor called time two minutes early
. Definitely pissed me off. Time keeping was a shoddy this test. Five minute warnings were not consistent, nor was the LG section allowed to go to 35 minutes. There weren't any other test takes with their own time pieces, so no one could back me up on it. But I've used my own chronograph enough to know it, and I know that section ended early.
Overall, the games weren't as difficult as they were time consuming. A lot of local questions with specific applications of sequencing that required local diagraming and testing. I don't remember that many global rules that allowed a lot of questions to be tackled quickly and easily.
There were also at least 2 questions where they asked you to replace one rule with another rule, for the same overall effect in the game. That's a very recent trend in LGs, and one that I was unfortunately not fast on.

Re: Got OWNED/PWN3D by LG!!! (LG talk ONLY in this thread, thx)
Yeah, I took it in the pooper on LG as well. Normally the first game is a breeze and I can finish in under 7 minutes...not this one. I don't think there was a single straight up linear ordering game, everything had a combination of linear, grouping, etc... and another game had almost zero inferences and required a hypo for every question.
The section totally threw me off since I'm so used to 1 super-easy game, 2 medium, and 1 hard. But they were all hybrid hard games I thought. Anyway, I didn't sleep well the night before so maybe that hobbled my ability, but I've never just said "F it" part-way into the first game and skipped to the next on an lsat, but I did that today
My range was 164-170 on practice. I'll be lucky to hit 164 because of LG today.

I got destroyed by the juicer question, guessed on 4 of them. What were their two names? Started with a T and Z.
The 2nd LG which was experimental I probably got 22/23, this is whack.

I think I am in the minority, as I didn't think they were too bad. I actually felt like this test was somewhat easy overall, though I am hesitant to give that feeling too much credence as I don't want to jinx myself. The game that everyone is talking about being super difficult was definitely tough, but I thought that once you figured out one of the major inferences, it became pretty close to a regular ordering game.

I can't believe how our LSATs are harder now and get harsher curves. I wish test prep never existed.

I'll throw my oars into the water here. I thought the games SUCKED! Enough already with the in/out grouping games! Fucking LSAC Assholes!!!!!!!
I had it first and was CONVINCED it had to be the experimental. Nope! 1st LR I thought was good, and the RC seemed like.... well RC all sucks. 2nd LR I had was kind of a bitch though. Who knows.
Start praying to the LSAT Gods I guess.

Re: Got OWNED/PWN3D by LG!!! (LG talk ONLY in this thread, thx)
Agreed. It wasn't hard at all--the mixers game was pretty easy if u got one major inference. After that it was a breeze. But I def missed atleast two on that because I realized I was using the wrong diagram to answer questions and had to go back and do them again.evergirl23 wrote:I think I am in the minority, as I didn't think they were too bad. These games weren't hard, just very time consumming. I think that after june, we were all like "omg so hard!!!" And then, I don't know about the rest of u, but when I saw the dino game I was like "are u kidding me? This is easy!"
The either or sequencing game was a pain and ate up time.
I also agree with whoever said they were expecting one easy sequencing game. I was thrown off when game 1 wasn't a giveaway. Then I was ready to tough it out for 2 and 3, expecting game 4 to be easy. But it never happened. It was an intense section, no let up..but by no means difficult.
I still think I got atleast 5 wrong though

You know, this is actually TCR IMHO! <------WTF?goosey wrote:I also agree with whoever said they were expecting one easy sequencing game. I was thrown off when game 1 wasn't a giveaway. We'll never get to see them, but non of the games were IMPOSSIBLE, there just wasn't a lay-up game to get your groove back or going again. All 4 of them had something out of the norm about them and they all ate up time. After getting to the point where I was completing sections in under 30.....
Meh.

I felt a little more wishy washy on the games in this test than most, but I've gone through harder. I finished with ample time left. I thought overall that it was doable, but def harder than most LG's I've done.
Also: there wasn't a sequencing, but I thought 4 was an easy enough linear game.

December had a -14 curve. That's way lenient. It's not like there have been a bunch of impossible tests with -8 curves.jocelyne wrote:I can't believe how our LSATs are harder now and get harsher curves. I wish test prep never existed.
Dunno until I take mine if I'll be happy or not at the "snow out", but my gut was right about the games because I had a sneaky suspicion they would throw some crazy stuff on there and did the games on one of those PT's in the 30's to see if I could do it in time and with accuracy (for the record, I did both).

what do you mean? The Feb. LSAT gets harsher curves than LSATs from other months? I thought the curves is determined by the difficulty of a particular LSAT test, so it doesn't really matter which month you take the LSAT.jocelyne wrote:I can't believe how our LSATs are harder now and get harsher curves. Re: Got OWNED/PWN3D by LG!!! (LG talk ONLY in this thread, thx)
-14 would mean 4 wrong for a 180??
is that what december had? thats crazy awesome!!
anyways...
so I have an average on about 30 tests of a 180 and I got owned by the LG on this test. Im pretty pissed about it.
The people who keep saying it was easy, just time consuming, I dont think get what we mean by 'hard'.
If it takes so long that you struggle to finish or dont have enough time to feel confident about an answer that makes it 'hard'.
I thought it was hard because 1. some of the questions felt out of the blue, I'd never seen them before (I think I've seen the replace a rule like once before maybe) and 2. I felt insanely pressed for time. On my first section when they called 5 minutes I almost raised my hand to protest that they clearly only gave us 30 minutes

I've done too much LSAT today.
Okay, I've spent a while now trying to figure out what on Earth people are talking about with regard to which games they saw that were real. The real games section was, IN THIS ORDER:
1. Class terms (first or second)
2. Hiking trails (in or out)
3. Juicers/mixers/etc. (these are the ELEMENTS; you were putting them in order)
4. Zulla's interviews, from first to sixth.
I can say this much, right?
Oh, also. I felt that the juicers/mixers/etc. was a strange child of PT 38's last game (Nexus, Tailwind) and PT 53's third game (confess!!). I wasn't too thrown by it just because I've done both of those games a lot.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
