I'll stop by and say hi. 16 days to go! At least this time we have the agony of waiting for decisions to distract us!

That's my husband's birthday too. I told him it was either going to be a great birthday or a terrible one. I am leaning toward great but you never know.princepointe wrote:Perjury wrote:

Why not apply anyway and then transfer? You won't waste a entire year

Re: The Official February 2010 Waiting Thread
Haha no way.
I'm probably going to UGA if I get in, maybe Emory if I did better than I think. If I don't get into UGA, it means my LSAT was below 164, which is pitiful compared to my PTs. I feel like I owe it to myself to take it again at that point.
Even if I do score a 164-167 and get into UGA, I may take it again in June. If I do significantly better, I may put off law school for a year then apply to Duke, UVA, etc. next cycle.

Nope! If your "dreams have already been crushed" then why not? I'm thinking go to a decent school, kick ass your first year, land in the top 20% (alteast), then transfer.
Seriously though...they make us neurotic about this shit..but it is a little known loop hole in the PERFORM-OR-DIE Law School admissions game. Hell Obama did it for his undergrad at Columbia

Totally! A ton! I had lg-lr-lg-lr-rcbirdmann783 wrote:i had lr-lg-lr-rc-lr
the first lr seemed super easy....however the second and the third one was harder. I remember the second one having a question about the indepen. films..... can someone who had 2 lr confirm whether this was experimental.....
also did anyone else notice a huge amount of assumption and inference questions on this exam??

I agree with Brees. I plan on doing something similar even if I don't get into my target school. I have taken the LSAT 3 times with the last being in FEB. I do not want to waste a couple yrs. I rather get on with my life and go to law school and kick ass, then transfer.

After seeing images of the Blizzard of 2010 it occurs to me that the score release date may be affected by the fact that LSAC is located in Eastern PA. I wonder if their offices will be open at all this week.

I doubt it. They closed the interstates today. I don't think side streets will get cleaned until monday. I doubt too many people will be able to make it to work even Friday.Close Diamond wrote:After seeing images of the Blizzard of 2010 it occurs to me that the score release date may be affected by the fact that LSAC is located in Eastern PA. So look like they won't reschedule the test until sometime next week, then who knows when the make up date is. So they have a lot of work left to do, this is just terrible timing ...

I really really really really hope that this awful weather doesn't push back the release dates (fingers crossed). I don't think I could take it.

Re: The Official February 2010 Waiting Thread
I really hope that, given the situation, LSAC releases the scores in waves, especially since we are all taking different tests and will never know the curve anyways. While I have complete sympathy for those who are still waiting to take the test, I (selfishly, perhaps) do not want my score to be delayed past the promised 3/1 release date. I would think that LSAC would not delay the majority of the scores due to the minority whose test has been delayed. However, if it doesn't stop snowing in PA, we will not know anything anytime soon.

Re: The Official February 2010 Waiting Thread
There is no "promised" date. It states on LSAC website that the days are approximate. I wish it were promised because I am hoping that the delayed testing doesn't hold the scores of the majority of the test takers. Not being selfish (maybe) but why not try to minimize number of scores being released late? I guess we won't know until March 1st what exactly they are going to about score release???

So the game is about performing, and the loophole involves out-performing a minimum of 80% of your class AND doing so in what is largely a cutthroat environment?SummerBrees wrote:Nope! Okay, the waiting is REALLY getting to me. I can't focus on anything else. I am going to be completely useless until the results come out.
My husband joked that we should drive to PA (from TX, ha!) and bang on the door and demand my score NOW!!

I'd love to get my score now. But hopefully they won't push it past the 26th because of snow problems.
I know LSAC is located in PA, but do they ship all of the test booklets there to be scored? Or do they have regional centers that collect and score the tests?
