As far as clothing goes. I'm torn between going for the whole "look good, feel good, do good" mentality and wearing my favorite sweat pants and crew neck.

As someone who was in your position a year ago, I want to wish you all the best of luck on Monday. My only advice: breathe deeply. You've got this.

I haven't decided what to wear (edited) yet overall but I am definitely going to have on sandals. I could definitely see a down shift in my stress level on PTs when my feet were free vs imprisoned in shoes.okaygo wrote:As far as clothing goes. Is printing off our photo on regular paper okay? Or does it have to be an actual photograph?

I'm going to get a passport photo from CVS just to be sure.RhymesLikeDimes wrote:Is printing off our photo on regular paper okay? Or does it have to be an actual photograph?
Here's my question that is probably really paranoid: It says twice that the name must match "EXACTLY." My name now says "coins, wtr A" but on my ID it says "Wtr Apple Coins." Does it matter if the middle name doesn't match exactly (initial vs. full name).
EDIT: Answered on like page 8, says only first and last name.

Today is the 69th anniversary of D-Day. We're taking what will become PT 69. Coincidence? I think not.
Edit: test is in 4 days. D-Day in 1944. Conspiracy confirmed.

If this is the case I hope that the test is the Axis and that we are the Allies...or is that a given?objection_your_honor wrote:Today is the 69th anniversary of D-Day. We're taking what will become PT 69. Coincidence? I think not.

I printed off a picture I took of myself with the camera on my Macbook. It doesn't matter, at all.RhymesLikeDimes wrote:Is printing off our photo on regular paper okay? Or does it have to be an actual photograph?

What if your handwriting is illegible? For the writing portion i mean. Will it count against you if you have however many pages are required of chicken scratch?

I had chicken scratch in Dec, I got into all the schools my GPA/LSAT indicated I should.mvonh001 wrote:What if your handwriting is illegible? For the writing portion i mean. Will it count against you if you have however many pages are required of chicken scratch?
EDIT: Sorry, phone was terrible. I meant to say that the chicken scratch wasn't held against me.

Probably not. The common consensus is that they neither read nor give a shit about the writing portion. Obviously you should try to make it readable on the off chance that they do read it, but it's not worth stressing about at this point.mvonh001 wrote:What if your handwriting is illegible? Please answer:
Is it stupid for me to read through manhattan LR all day today? My problem is that drilling particular question types doesn't help because I don't miss particular types, I miss questions in the death zone of 13/14 to 20/21.
So would that be my best bet for trying to cut out losses in the section?

Off to take my 2nd to last PT (64) at the site where the actual test is being held, where I got a 169 2 years ago despite/because of a construction seminar in the next room and audible construction outside. Hopefully won't be the same kinda shit this year.
Wish me luck.

Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
So, I just went to the testing center where I will sit for the LSAT on Monday to see if I could take a PT there. I figured that it would be good to take my last two PTs there seeing as the last LSAT I took there was my 164, but they flatly responded "No." Kind of a bummer but exactly what I expected.
On a completely different note, as anyone else noticed that the last three released PTs (66-68) have all started with RC? Coincidence? Statistically that trend can't continue, right?

Are you guys planning on chewing gum during the test?
http://www.livescience.com/17520-chewin ... mance.html
The researchers tested 224 undergraduates from St. Lawrence University, dividing them into three groups. One chewed gum before and during the test, another chewed gum for five minutes before being tested and a third didn't chew anything. The researchers then gave them a battery of tests to determine their brainpower.
They found that a burst of gum-chewing before testing improved a student's performance on several of the tests, but only for a short period. The effect was strongest right after gum-chewing, and dropped to normal levels within 20 minutes. The gum-chewing helped during recall and memory tasks especially.
"Within the 15-to-20-minute 'window' of the effect, the chewing-gum group recalled 25-to-50-percent more items than the controls, which is statistically significant, but in practical terms amounts to a difference of two-to-three words," Onyper said.
I'm thinking of throwing in a piece during the 15 minute break.

Yes. It would be a waste of time at this late in the game. At this point we all know what to do, you probably don't need another book telling you what you already know, now we just have to make sure to apply what we know.okaygo wrote:Please answer:

I chew a lot of gum, I'll probably chew some during the break. I'm still not sure exactly what I can bring into the test center though, so maybe I will, maybe I won't. I mean I know what I must bring, and what I must not bring, but I'm not sure what I can bring (gum, cigarettes, dip) with me and use during the break.californiauser wrote:Are you guys planning on chewing gum during the test?
