shit I think I'm gonna get an upper 160s on this one. I misread my rule on the first game and went -5 on LG. ugh hopefully I did really good on the rest

Did PT 68 over the course of the past few days as well and ugh that 4th game was the worst.Alexandros wrote:68.4 is one of the hardest games I've ever done. Don't beat yourself up for struggling with it. Fortunately we've got over a month and a half to drill the heck out of these uber difficult ones.StopLawying wrote:PT68, G4---I hate you.
These are the games that are absolutely killing me. Open-ended sequencing games that have a lot of possibilities. Where you can't make many upfront inferences and you kinda gotta brute force your way through the questions. PT A G3 was also really difficult for me.
I'm very comfortable with in/out games and grouping, even the hardest ones. It's just these level 4 sequencing games that kill me, and I'm not sure how to fix this issue.

ok nvm, I let one bad section get to me.
PT 62:
Score 173
RC -3
LR -1
LG -5 (fml misread and missed 3 on an easy game)
LR -2
was forreal expecting a 167 or something because I felt like trash after that LG section, but I'll definitely take this. RC was 5/5 difficulty so def happy about that. should've been a 175+ tho.

imagine a test with all 4 games being level 1 difficulty pure sequencing games. lmaoooo the curve would be like -3proteinshake wrote:it was a tough test, but remember what I said yesterday: harder LG is the biggest blessing!TheMikey wrote:that curve thoproteinshake wrote:FORREAL! LOL, yeah I guess it's ONLY a blessing if you mess up on one of the sections and so you need a bigger curve haha.TheMikey wrote:imagine a test with all 4 games being level 1 difficulty pure sequencing games. lmaoooo the curve would be like -3proteinshake wrote:it was a tough test, but remember what I said yesterday: harder LG is the biggest blessing!TheMikey wrote:that curve thoproteinshake wrote:FORREAL! wow, PT46 S3 Q22 really stumped me hard, during timed and BR. Although I knew it was a strengthen question, I was unknowingly approaching it like a paradox question, which apparently lots of people on 7sage do.
That question is a tricky little fucker

Re: The Official September 2016 Study Group - WAKE ME UP WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS
Finally done pseudo-BR-ing this thing.
PT 62:
RC: 0
LR1: -2
LG: -5 lmao
LR2: -1
Raw: 94
Scaled: 175
101/102 on the pseudo-BR (-1 LG, not sure what happened there
)
Haven't checked back at my sheet but pretty sure I know which ones I got wrong on LR - dumb mistakes that should've been easily avoided.
I was feeling pretty out of it for this PT, but I think I need to admit that, for whatever reason, my LG skills have slid. I'm going to need to structure my prep accordingly going forward (somehow without causing LR and RC to plummet.)

It's all part of the process. Don't get discouraged. Think of subpar scores as situations you're training yourself to handle and avoid on test day.tofuspeedstar wrote:Shit the bed on PT60.

ok guys seriously i don't think i ever believed people when they told me that taking breaks from LSAT helped...but....it has helped me massively
just took PT 47 in parts. i did the LG section during my lunch break today and then did the last 3 sections this evening.
174!
LG -2 (stupid mistakes, and i was crazy distracted in a crowded lunch space - actually probably good for practice), LR -3, RC -1 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
literally almost cried seeing an RC -1

Re: The Official September 2016 Study Group - WAKE ME UP WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS
Thanks - that first LR should have been -0. Pretty close. Especially because my RC has just been abysmal (for me IMO.)Alexandros wrote:Nice!34iplaw wrote:Dec 2011 PT done finally.
Test:
1; LR1 -2 (one really dumb mistake and other was a dumb mistake on a hard problem; didn't feel rushed)
2; LG -4 (-1 careless error and one game I ran out of time on)
3; RC -9 (four were random guesses and all wrong. Really not happy with this RC. My RC seems to be all over the place depending if I finish the section)
4; Exp LG -0 (5 min to spare...realized I had seen the last LG during BR)
5; LR2 -4 (time crunched at end but found last questions hard)
Raw 82/101 -> 166
Blind Review
1; LR1 -0
2; LG -0
3; RC -3
4; exp LG -0
5; LR2 -4 ( caught one error and made a new one )
Raw 94-> 176
Either way, I think I'll have more confidence next time. I was feeling shaky going into this one, as my second was lower than my first (which according to Testmasters is normal but worried me anyways.)
Jotting down my questions for class and academic support by section. I have about 10 questions on the LR section in terms of clarifying stuff.Get timing down for RC and you'll be 170+ in no time.
Broke up with last girl awhile ago, but I've been really jamming on Baby Blue recently... probably the best semi-amicable break up song ever. At least from a guys perspective. Chances verse in it is awesome - a litany of pettiness.

have to get up at 7 for a doctor's appointment, slowly I'm being forced into waking up earlier and earlier. I wanna be able to wake up at 6 everyday and PT at 9:30 (which is when you'll probably start taking the real thing).

Re: The Official September 2016 Study Group - WAKE ME UP WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS
So, I was really bad and unlike all of you I didn't do much LSAT prep today.
I did 8 RC passages, timed, and did mostly Phase I of the Memory Method, the last two passages I did Phase II (didn't even write down each point, I think I was feeling lazy about it).
So this is my passage break down:
Social Sciences:
P1: -0 5/5
P2: -2 6/8
P3: -1 5/6
P4: -1 6/7
Humanities:
P1: -2 6/8
P2: -1 7/8
P3: -1 5/6
P4: -0 7/7
I reviewed on my own just now, about to hit JY and Manhattan to see if my reasoning aligns with theirs. In the morning I did Socal Sciences, in the late afternoon/evening Humanities. Overall I think I find Humanities and Science passages harder than Legal and Social Science, weird huh?
The mistakes I made were really stupid detail ones, for example one of the questions I went -1 on, I wasn't able to engage with the passage that intensively (folklore) and I missed a sentence where the correct answer was sitting literally verbatim! Sigh. I'm actually not even upset, because I wasted time watching YouTube when I could have been studying lol. I'm kind of glad I did that though because doing 16 RC back-to-back would have burned me out I think.
Tomorrow, I'm going to finish up RC and hit up LG.

I've been trying to wake up an hour earlier every week. Managed to wake up at ~6:30 and PT at 9am today. Didn't feel so great lmao.proteinshake wrote:have to get up at 7 for a doctor's appointment, slowly I'm being forced into waking up earlier and earlier. I seem to take an extremely long time to wake up in the morning, so shooting for 4 o clock hour by Sept 24. Which is incredibly far removed from any sleep schedule I've ever had so should be fun.
(aaannnd now it's quarter past 1. lulz.)

PT 60
LR1: -14
LG: -4 (game 3, the 2nd rule tripped me out)
LR2: -12
RC: -7 (for me this was the positive take away...)
------
63/101 -> 154
BR:
LR1: -7
LG: -1
LR2: -8
RC: -7 (idk wtf happened, have to go back and look)
--------
77/100 -> 162
I really, really, REALLY have to work on flaw questions, NA questions, Science & law passages..at this rate I don't think I'll be able to sit for the September exam
