Yeah same. I need to get all around faster. In December all four of my misses were on the last passage.JackelJ wrote:I'm still struggling with timing. I'll get through the first 3 passages and go -0 or -1 on them and then I'll have 5 minutes for the last one and only get like 2 questions right. So you did 30 minute limit on practice sections?leslieknope wrote:The limiting yourself thing actually worked for me for both RC and LG, surprisingly. I only did it while drilling sections my last week of prep, not on PTs, but it honestly helped, mostly because the real trick to getting faster on the LSAT is to not waste time double checking the easy gimme answers so you can spend the time on the actually hard ones that require you to go back to the passage. When you have a gun to your head in the form of 30 minutes a section, you kind of let go and trust your instincts a bit more. It was also good practice for game day, when I ran out of time in RC and had to speed through the last passage. I can't say for sure that it worked because Feb, obvs, but I know I was a lot less panicked going into the passage because I'd practiced doing passages under a time crunch. (what happened afterwards as far as panicking about RC stays in the waiters thread).
I guess it wouldn't hurt to slowly work myself down. Maybe 34 mins to 32, etc.
Hoping a lot of recreational reading will make me faster too.

Where is everyone in their studying? I'm curious and want to get to know people.
How long have you been studying?
If this your first time or are you retaking?
What is your goal?
Best and worst section?

How long have you been studying?Off and on for over a year.
If this your first time or are you retaking?Retaking a 167.
What is your goal?Probably wouldn't retake a 172+
Best and worst section?Normally my best is LG and my worst is RC but I went -4 on both on my actual test. And -8 on LR. So actually I'm pretty consistently mediocre?

Anywhere from 2 years to 3 months to a few weeks depending on what you count. I've been thinking about the LSAT for a long time but only started seriously studying over Christmas break. Since then it's been a very subpar effort with frenzied weeks of studying interspersed between long periods of laziness and TLSing.JackelJ wrote:Where is everyone in their studying? Best is LR (~ -0.5), worst is LG (~ -5)

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Oh and I'll answer my own questions.
I've been studying on and off for a year now.
First time taking.
Goal is 170+, probably won't retake anything over that unless I felt I really underperformed
Best is LG, worst is RC

More like emphasizing how LG is destroying my score too. I could take the other sections tomorrow and be satisfied with the results, but with LG I'm a complete idiot.

Somehow LG has become my best sans timing and LR is now my worst.

Share what you think will be a fool proof plan for LG. I have started with the Trainer, and of course, it tackles all three sections.Dirigo wrote: It's really not that hard. I don't get it.

I think LG is mostly a test of work ethic. You can master it just by more or less mindlessly drilling games over and over again.biggestlawman wrote:Share what you think will be a fool proof plan for LG. I followed the 7Sage method and made multiple copies of each game and would relentlessly drill them.biggestlawman wrote:Share what you think will be a fool proof plan for LG.
