Haha, I've been visiting a lot because my GFs family is from around there, and it's not horrible? Not sure what living there would be like though. Lack 24 hr public transit sucks though coming from Chicago.amta wrote:i have it on good authority that Boston as a city sucks.tuesdayninja wrote: Truuuuu, although I still applied

I lived outside the city, but never had any issues getting around using transit: commuter rail into the city, and the T throughout the city were pretty reliable. It's crowded, but on such a smaller scale than NYC or even Chicago.tuesdayninja wrote:Haha, I've been visiting a lot because my GFs family is from around there, and it's not horrible? And it is without question the best city in the world, so there's that.

Fwiw I've always heard good things about Boston. It's clean. A big city with a neighborhood feel.

My experience I guess is pretty limited to trying to get out to the burbs (Needham) after a night out. Living closer to Boston proper during school (if I end up there) might not be so bad? Also probably won't have much time for bars during 1L.Rigo wrote:Also I've never heard complaints about Boston public transit.

The aesthetics are incredible, for one.amta wrote:what makes it so?Pozzo wrote: I lived outside the city, but never had any issues getting around using transit: commuter rail into the city, and the T throughout the city were pretty reliable. This is absolutely true too. Really easy to get around. Yeah, there's traffic, but I live in the urban sprawl of the desert southwest now, where people drive 50 miles each way to get to work. Traffic is no worse in Boston than it is here.Rigo wrote:Fwiw I've always heard good things about Boston. It's clean. A big city with a neighborhood feel.
It's an incredibly educated, active population. There are tons of museums, parks, and other things to do. Plus, New England coast has got to be the prettiest place on earth.
Also, Fenway.

WeHo is cool. I guess anywhere near the 405 up toward UCLA is pretty nice. I doubt I would go to USC though.Rigo wrote:I probably wouldn't live in Westwood.
