Re: February 2017 LSAT Thread
Anyone notice a huge difference between LR in the PT mid 60s and LR in the mid 70s. I just did PT 75 and feel like the LR shifted significantly. Many more vague questions, a little harder to pin down and not many analytical type questions

Just ordered Superprep 2 so I could get my hands on the mysterious "preptest C2". I'm in desperate need for fresh prep material. Hopefully PT 80 gets released soon

Re: February 2017 LSAT Thread
Just BR'd PT 75. 177! Finally back in the upper 170's after a two week dropoff. Also, first time hitting the upper 170's on a very recent PT. All my other high scores were in the 40s and 50s. Hopefully this is an indication I have enough flexibility on modern games not to absolutely shit the bed come PT 81

Re: February 2017 LSAT Thread
Took this PT this morning and went -1 and -0 on the LR. I think you're right that the section is changing. I think ACs have become less cookie-cutter. This is especially true for necessary and sufficient assumption questions. Not sure how to adapt other than to make sure you take all the 70's and pick hard questions apartgopack24377 wrote:Anyone notice a huge difference between LR in the PT mid 60s and LR in the mid 70s. Took a day off today. May the LSAT gods have mercy on my soul for its indolence

I can't believe tomorrow is just three weeks until test day!! Honestly, I'm very ready to get this over with
I've been hitting LR hard this week, so I hope I see an improvement there when I take a full PT tomorrow.

Alternating so hard between "I just want to take it again now and be done with it 5ever" and "omg I can't believe it's only three weeks away."airwrecka wrote:I can't believe tomorrow is just three weeks until test day!! Honestly, I'm very ready to get this over with

Re: February 2017 LSAT Thread
Below personal average on the RC from PT 8 this morning. A couple of pretty difficult passages but there were a few questions I should have never missed. Had to fight the urge the get up and get a snack or use the bathroom the whole morning while I was drilling but perhaps this is good preparation in case the same thing happens during the exam?
I'm solidly in the can't wait to get it over with camp even though I'll be very disappointed if I don't improve my score. At least The Young Pope starts this Sunday and if it's good the highlight of my weekend won't be taking preptest 76Anon.y.mousse. wrote:Alternating so hard between "I just want to take it again now and be done with it 5ever" and "omg I can't believe it's only three weeks away."airwrecka wrote:I can't believe tomorrow is just three weeks until test day!! Ughhh yes I want to get it over with too, but will also be sad if I don't improve my score. However, my cycle is going a lot better than I anticipated, so I'm trying not to worry too much. Things might work out for me either way!etramak wrote:Below personal average on the RC from PT 8 this morning. Re: February 2017 LSAT Thread
So this week I did all the logical reasoning sections from PT 58-61. I was so excited because I went -0 on both sections of PT 58, but then I went -1 on each section of PT 59, -1 and -2 on PT 60, and -2 and -3 on PT 61
I'm so frustrated! I don't know if the sections just got harder or if my brain started slipping....ugh.

Any guesses as to when PT 80 will be released? I heard PTs generally get released 1-2 weeks before the following test. Fingers crossed it's before Feb

Keep doing the same ones. Especially the ones you had trouble with. Just make sure you're getting the questions right because you understand the logical inferences behind the gameAMcJV12 wrote:So I'm lowkey running out of AR games to do. Anyone got advice for what to do?

what is AR? if it's LG, i thought Manhattan games were pretty tough. if you can do them in time, you're golden.etramak wrote:Keep doing the same ones. Especially the ones you had trouble with. 168 on the Dec 2015 LSAT today. Lowest practice test score in three months. Trying not to freak out.

Re: February 2017 LSAT Thread
Took PT 77 on Saturday and got a 174!! SOOO stoked about it because if I actually improve my score that much in Feb, I will be golden this cycle
(well, I hope so) I also had NINE minutes left at the end of the logic games to go back and check my work! and I came out -0 in that section
probably best I've ever done on a logic games section that I had never seen before. a little disappointed with my LR sections, but I definitely think the questions were a little trickier than those I've been practicing in the 60s tests. (I feel like someone mentioned this earlier in the thread, that 70+ LR is harder?)

from what I've heard from LOTS of top scorers on this board, it's really normal to have a fluke low PT score right before the test (especially if you've been doing lots of tests for a long time). don't sweat it!!!AMcJV12 wrote:168 on the Dec 2015 LSAT today. Just took PT 77 this morning as well. Snagged a 166 with only 18 correct in RC, yikes. But felt good in all other sectionsairwrecka wrote:Took PT 77 on Saturday and got a 174!! Re: February 2017 LSAT Thread
Back to studying full force. I hit burn out. Took nine days off after my last PT, and gradually ramped back up. I'm going back through the Trainer and using 7sage to attack targeted areas based off of what I have missed on the last chunk of PT's. Average of last 3 PT's is a 159, my average of last 3 before those is a 161 whereas my BR average is about a 169. I think that I need to do a better job of reviewing the newer tests-I just started taking the 70's (doing the odds for this test prep, so I can save the evens for the next one). Goal range for all except my reach school(s) is 160-164. I'm guessing I will retake in either/both Oct 2017 (if I can get the time off from work) and Feb 2018.

Re: February 2017 LSAT Thread
Thus far 67% of my preparation has been three sections back to back instead of full PTs. Starting Saturday I think I'm going to make it 100% full PTs and adding an extra day off for the last two weeks, just to ensure I have the stamina on February 4th. I have two fresh preptests to do - C2 and, hopefully soon, PT 80.

I can't believe we're down to two weeks people! How is everyone feeling? I'm feeling really good and ready to get this over with haha. Just wishing we could get our scores the next day so I won't have to suffer through 3.5 weeks of misery

Re: February 2017 LSAT Thread
Have completed all the tests finally. I used to think the tests in the 70s were brutal. Now I think that the tests I took in the 30s are the worst. 40s were the easiest.
I think it's easy to see how the test has evolved. The hardest questions in the 30s tests just don't seem to show up anymore. The ambiguities in some of those questions are just brutal. Went back and reviewed the wrong answers I had on some 70s tests last night and feel like a complete moron for having missed a few of them. Cautiously optimistic for my goal. 1st try but hoping to be done with it after 2 weeks from tomorrow.
