I say we put an end to fighting. I'm not sure if LG is really representative of necessary lawyerly skills or not, but I do know that LG is worth learning because it's 1/4 of your LSAT score and not learning those skills says something about you whether you will need them later or not.
Good luck again to everybody who wrote yesterday, and let's not lose our minds over the next 3+ weeks as we wait for scores.

Same. I don't think I hit my average. But if I did I would throw a Yale Marry.AbbeyS wrote:

I read that some schools allow it if you write directly to them requesting permission (and they're more likely to comply if your score is above their median...to get a few last minute high scores to add to their class)...there's a couple schools I'd consider doing that for. I just wish so many deadlines weren't before we get our scores

Don't send in an app past the deadline! They hate it.

Lol I mean, I figured unsolicited apps would be annoying. But one article I read had someone call/email adcoms directly with their score & GPA (both high) in July (after receiving new June score) and asked if they'd consider their app. Tons of t20 schools whose deadlines passed said they would.Li'l Sebastian wrote:AbbeyS wrote:Li'l Sebastian wrote:Same. For anyone that had LG experimental, what did you all think of Game 4? That was one of the most bizarre games I've ever seen - with the numbers and all. The only game I've seen that was similar to that was one of the games from the earlier PTs that did something similar, but with letter grades.

Ah, figures then. Well, I'm happy that, out of any section type, that my experimental was LG. Sounds like they save some really cool games for that. One of my friends who took the LSAT a couple years ago got a circle game where the pieces had subcategories.Li'l Sebastian wrote:Not everyone who got an experimental LG section got the same experimental LG section.JCDante wrote:For anyone that had LG experimental, what did you all think of Game 4? Meanwhile, the real LG games we get on today's LSAT seem to be fairly conventional outside of the occasional pattern or a basic circle game.

I had experimental LG in June and it was the most standard, straightforward, simple set of games I've ever done lol. I finished with like 7 minutes left and this was before I even understood logic games. So not all of us got cool ones lolJCDante wrote:Ah, figures then. -Various schools with specific programs and professors that seem like really good fits for my background and interests, and some of them also happen to be in places I could see kind of putting down roots and with exciting job opportunities for s/o.
-Various environmental justice-y things, judicial stuff could be interesting at some point

Whether or not that was a good idea, I'm still not sure.
Maybe I should have just done CS...

I don't think any certain majors are necessarily better than others. Seems to be based more on skills acquired, and those skills can be learned from several different majors. Mine was journalism. Some people might say "well how the hell is that gonna prepare you for law" but I'm happy with that choice regardless. I know my writing skills, research skills, interviewing skills & analyzing skills will help me in law. Plus, we had to take several law classes for journalism. And I'm sure your majors also have relevant skills!Helioze wrote:I tried to go for a really classical education.AbbeyS wrote:Math & philosophy...that's interesting! Math and Philosophy with a great GPA at a great school is perhaps the biggest "I'm smart" signaler I can imagine. It also signals "I have no clue what I want to do", but who really does.

The one about arranging the floors? It was a weird. It got me. Given only month of preparation with really only 2 weeks of intense preparation, would feeling more confident about this test than any practice test ever taken be compelling evidence for a June retake?

This was such a confusing question lol. But I gather you're asking if you should retake? My advice is not to jump on the retake wagon until you actually get your score.GumpBrave wrote:Given only month of preparation with really only 2 weeks of intense preparation, would feeling more confident about this test than any practice test ever taken be compelling evidence for a June retake?

Nuuuu. This is a mistake I've seen too many times! Taking three weeks off is to be avoided at all costs! I think a section a day is the reccomended strategy until he gets his score. He should be on the retake wagon UNTIL he gets his score. This is the best way to minimize risks.AbbeyS wrote:This was such a confusing question lol. But I gather you're asking if you should retake?
