Just came across a cool set of mini video series (about 4-8mins each) explaining some of the logical fallacies on Youtube. It is not tailored to LSAT prep, but just as informational videos for general knowledge. Quite simple and comprehensive. Check it out if interested.

Edit: Oh, and here is one on Cognitive bias

Hey, all!

So, I keep missing 1 question per logic game while drilling, usually some thoughtless oversight. Any tips on how to lock these up? I'm trying to sit for the February LSAT, but I'm going to have to postpone if I can't get LG to -0 consistently.

You're probably further along in your prep than I am, but FWIW, it might help you to slow down when doing logic games. The aim is to get your accuracy up first. Speed comes later. It might also help to build in double-checks/redundancies in your process (double-check to make sure you diagrammed the rules correctly, that you got all the rules down, etc).
The redundancies tip is great. I'll add that to my process. Thanks!

Where are you headed?
Back to Southern California for me. Was toying with just moving in with parents in New York but nahhh. Would rather juggle it all and be out on my own.

I just posted this few minutes ago. How do you conclude that these are great?
Actually watched "fallacy of composition" and started watching "fallacy of division." before I posted that. I was lurking on the board just as you posted that lol.

Did a timed LG section today from PT 63. Gave myself 40 minutes because the concepts are not clicking as second-nature’ish as I would like them to. Finished 3/4 games in just under 23 minutes-leaving myself just over 17 minutes for one of the games. Could not for the life of me get this game to “click.” There was language in the rules that I found cumbersome. Went -5 for the section thanks to that game. Printed off 10 copies of the game and am off to drill it three times tonight before survivor!

Anyone's game and all depends on what this "never happened in history of survivor" thing is (thinking double idol play), but I'm gonna pull for Wentworth.

Jeremy Spencer Tasha and Wentworth all could win though which is exciting.

Have you been keeping track of those you missed? There should be a pattern in them that may indicate where & why you are missing. It could be just how the question was worded or you just jumped to conclusion. Along with redundancy built in, I would recommend you to track those missed one along with detailed notes on what may have caused it.

Twenty three minutes for three games and with -5 accuracy?? Thats pretty good! How long have you been prepping for? Which one of the games was it on PT63?

So I spent almost 2 hours reformatting my study schedule today. I am committing 5 hours a day during the week to my prep. I will start PTing the first week of February. As of today, I'm still on MSS questions, but tomorrow is another day and so on to new LR concepts in the 7Sage curriculum!

In the December thread I talked about how I was putting together a notebook with questions I got wrong, my own responses to each answer type etc. Sort of like a BR for a LR question. So this time around, I am separating it by LR category and will review the question types before going to bed and first thing in the morning. The last question I put in the notebook I was not entirely convinced on the reasoning, however, when I woke up the next morning I completely understood the reasoning and logic and believe I am not likely to repeat this mistake again.

Oh and come January I am committed to eating healthy and working out regularly, but for the rest of this month I just want to enjoy my junk food :D
