Re: The Official June 2015 Waiter's Thread
My plan to make up for my GPA is a god tier lsat score, applying the very second admissions start so I'm the very first folder on their desk, and hopefully combined with being president of my Uni's pre-law society and a dirt poor Mexican American will get me into Harvard.

I'm not hoping for today. I'm banking on tomorrow. I'm working at home so I can be extra compulsive in my refreshing.ruizdaw wrote:So it's only been released on a Sunday once before?
Does anybody know when we'll get the fall 2015 class statistics i.e. The new lsat and GPA medians?

I have a similar plan! except instead of pre-law I am VP of the mock-trial team, heavily involved in MUN, Chief Justice of Student government (I oversee the student conduct board) and have some good volunteer work for my softs.ruizdaw wrote:My plan to make up for my GPA is a god tier lsat score, applying the very second admissions start so I'm the very first folder on their desk, and hopefully combined with being president of my Uni's pre-law society and a dirt poor Mexican American will get me into Harvard.

I'm extremely jaded about my GPA being locked down because my freshman year earned me four C's.
I now hold an unwavering disgust for everyone with a 3.8 or higher.

Same. I had a shitty second semester freshman year and first semester sophomore year and now I'm basically stuck with this shit. Splitters unite!ruizdaw wrote:I'm extremely jaded about my GPA being locked down because my freshman year earned me four C's.

As your self appointed president for life of Splitters Inc. LLC let me be the first to welcome you to the club. Also I love your Tar and username.Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote: In this club too. One bad semester is keeping an already mediocre GPA even lower. I actually finished my degree a semester early. If I had been completely sure that I would go go law school I would have stayed the extra semester and taken GPA padding classes. Yoga ftw!

Our first club meeting will revolve around our plan to exterminate all the reverse splitters (high GPA low lsat).

Just finished the rough draft of my personal statement! My policy for writing is to get it out on the page even if it's really awful and then edit it about 500 times

I made a list of everything I want to talk about i.e. anything I think might give me a boost.jumbo2016 wrote:Just finished the rough draft of my personal statement! My policy for writing is to get it out on the page even if it's really awful and then edit it about 500 times
I've thus far managed to procrastinate writing it but I just know I won't be able to not do it once I get my score. And I think we've still got plenty of time left ahead of us.
When do applications open up for the first time and is anybody else planning on hitting the send button at 12:01am the day of?
