Fact-check me on this, but I've read that it also has the highest number of graduates from non-ABA accredited schools taking it. That could be relevant.

Early splitter gets denial from stanny or maybe 3/4 at duke.
3/4 from Duke?
Are you implying that it is disadvantageous for a splitter to apply early, or am I misinterpreting you? (not a splitter, but curious)
3/4 full ride, my bad I've used that a lot in Sept 2016 waiters.

Splitters have a tremendous advantage applying as early as possible. Most apps are from thanksgiving to new years so you won't be bogged down and compared with all the 3.9/177s yet. My deprecation towards stanny is me preparing myself for denial
What is your #2 choice?

Also, why Stanny over YH (or every other T13)?
Clerkship numbers and it gives me 3 years to experience the West Coast and have really good employment in the East Coast still. Y is super far out of reach and H is crazy expensive (stanny isn't cheap either i know).
1. S
2. MVD with a decent scholly
3. cry
Considering I want to do criminal law in the midwest/east coast, I would roll with any T13 most likely. H/Columbia/NYU would be amazing but a named scholly would be unreal. Unfortunately, I'm trying to put the cart before the horse, and the horse hasn't even learned to walk yet.
Midwest Mich reigns king imo, next to Chi but Chi is weird sometimes.

Shoot high dude, if we are going by house and cart standards, mine died 3.somthing miles back and I'm pushing it now.[/quote]
Yeah definitely, not many midwestern offices hire pre-bar though. I also want to live in a major city before I get old and flabby (I'm v young now but time flies)
I'm not much of a southern gent, but the weather at UVA/Duke sounds lovely after living in one of the coldest states for my entire life.

That would make sense. The impression I got from the thread was the format, which is changing, was bullshit. A shit tonne of weight placed on essays, graded harshly, and 3 days long.

People say don't beat a dead horse, but dragging a dead horse 3 miles seems like such a better example.

Go dook.

I wish I would have had mine ready to go when I got my score back, but I wasn't a TLSer until I got my score. I think the only place that it may have hurt me much was UVA

So is everyone already gathering their materials for their apps (drafting essays, etc.)?

I have a rough idea for a PS but will not write it until I'm in the 175s again. Most of my PS will be done waiting for gray day so i can ship out apps in a week or so after scores.

Also anxiety kicked in today

I haven't even started my PS (and I was supposed to apply this cycle but knew I wouldn't do well on the LSAT, go figure haha). I have a very broad topic though, but not sure how to approach it. Will worry about this some time in the summer.

Initial response to the abolishment of the 3x takes is that it is splitter death. I disagree. It isn't like June and September are going to have a massive only of 180ers hell no 170ers, it'll probably remain the same because test takers are only marginally different year to year; and we are still at one of the lowest applicant number ever and Harvard's medians dropped as well as Stanford. Dropping medians are a thing and we all need to look at this as a good thing.

now then, can a double 99% GRE/LSAT combo offset a meh GPA at H? Tune in Decemeber to find out.

Whaaaaaaaaaa
When did this happen.

how come all the changes detrimental to ppl with high lsats happen right b4 I apply
today.

This won't do anything to high scores, maybe 30 more 170+s a year 2 years down the line and an increase in takers but ~5,000. Me thinks the 30-100 schools will be more selective

Yeah - people are exaggerating. I could see there be more 160s, as I do sincerely a low 160s/high 150s is obtainable by a much larger portion of the test-taking population than actually receives it. You will likely see slightly more 170s but not an earth shattering amount. I forget the stat, but don't most (or near most) not go up on a second take? It'll help people score near the top of their range, reduce stress on the test, and, yes, some will take the test umpteenth times and perhaps get really lucky one time. I don't see much movement for top scores.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
