Those are incredible! Do they come in tri-form?

I don't think they come in tri-form.

Trying to learn the craft now. This pencil sharpening video was pretty informative. Look at the way he protects the tips with pieces of tubing at the end. I might try that so my tips don't break in my bag.
Hey! That's the book I recommended:

I literally just ordered a Kum Long Point as well! Funny coincidence. I also forgave the Palomino Blackwing 602 I got in my pencil sample pack from pencils.com for snapping its point during a PT, and succumbed to its loveliness- just ordered a full pack.

I don't know how I feel about spending $20 on a pack of 12 pencils! On the one hand: ridiculous. On the other hand, they are just so lovely, and really, it's an LSAT investment.

That's basically how I justified it in my head. Every time I pick up someone else's pencil by mistake, I throw it down in front of them like "eww" because everything else feels like sandpaper.

I'm starting to warm up to the Triconderogas. I haven't really LGed with them yet, but they bubble the answer sheet quite nicely. I am considering using shorter points for LR, and longer for RC/LG. I know short points sound like a bad idea, but try bubbling a few questions with them.

Found this other video about him: http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=KabOfnbS ... ure=fvwrel

He's hilarious. I particularly appreciated his take on mechanical pencils.

I only have $12 for pencils - narrowed it down to two, each with its own set of pros/cons:

Lolol.

If this were a serious dilemma, I'd recommend you pass and go with these: http://www.amazon.com/Palomino-Graphite ... B007P50S1O

I actually just bought these on impulse. I'm a sucker for white erasers and not good with money.

I second this. I just got my box in the mail 30 minutes ago and they already have a spot in my bag along with the 602. They are superior to every pencil I own except for the 602, but unlike the 602, they have the officially accepted HB grade stamped on the barrel.

Decided not to go with other pencils. The Dixon Black Ticons are just too good. I feel it'd be foolish to switch pencils now this late in the game.

So many! I'm forever grateful for this thread for introducing me to them.

And the rest of my training gear:

I switched pencils less than a month before the February test (from the black Ticonderogas, in fact) and never looked back.

Mirado Black Warriors. They are the pencil black Ticonderogas wish they were. You can find them at CVS or Rite Aid.

Lolol, that pic is hilarious.

You could try selling them to the many fools in this thread who refuse to accept how drastically inferior Ticonderogas are to the MBW and Palominos.

I have both and I prefer the Ticonderogas.
