Re: The Official September 2017 Study Group
been drilling the hardest flaw questions and I can't believe how much I keep overthinking shit and getting things wrong because of overthinking when down to 2 answer choices (and I of course choose the wrong one).
jfc, like for example I just did a tough one that was simply a correlation --> causation flaw. pretty simple, I love these because they're like the easiest ever, right? BUT I had another AC and I specifically focused on something else in the argument and kept saying "hmm, yeah, they imply this and this so they're jumping to far ahead of themselves when they conclude this". and of course like a tard I overthink it and dont go with the basic corr-->cause AC. smfh

Just an update on future career stuff. I actually think I would enjoy BL litigation long term, but I think part of the draw for me towards transactional is the exit opportunities to in-house

BL lit sounds most appealing to me but Idk about long term. Personally I feel like it might be draining after a whilechargers21 wrote:Just an update on future career stuff. Yeah, I'm lit or bust because I wouldn't be able to do transactional but I'm iffy about BL lit exit ops.chewinggum wrote:BL lit sounds most appealing to me but Idk about long term. Are you retaking?calmike wrote:I felt like I cheated myself today.
I took PT 67 today but I forgot to add an experimental section meaning I took a timed 4-section test today.
I scored a 176, my highest Practice score ever.
RC: -2
LR1: -1
LG: -1
LR:-1
I was really impressed by my score today since I have never scored this high before. I thought I had made more mistakes in RC and LR. I did not blind review. I am just going to review my wrong answers. I keep improving as I take more practice tests. However, I feel like my score today does not reflect my actual score potential since I did only 4- sections.
The last LG game was tough! I was stuck with one question.

Once I commit to a school, I will probably look into paths more in depth. Don't want to put the cart too far in front of the horse but I am leaning towards lit...Please SGAlexandros wrote:Yeah, I'm lit or bust because I wouldn't be able to do transactional but I'm iffy about BL lit exit ops.chewinggum wrote:BL lit sounds most appealing to me but Idk about long term. It sucks that on top of studying during 1L, I'm going to have to find someone to marry if I want a fed clerkship.

Definitely, but I'd really like to clerk. Hawaii, Alaska, N California and US territories are possibilities, but it sucks its so limited. I'd take a look at N California of course, but I'm not sure how it compares.Alexandros wrote:I wonder what the deal is with clerking in N California. I've def seen people have gone t14 LS -> clerk in N Cal -> Law firm in USA.oopsu812 wrote:It sucks that on top of studying during 1L, I'm going to have to find someone to marry if I want a fed clerkship.
also fed clerkships aren't that big of a deal - most people don't do them, and you can also do them after being at a firm for a few years.
