To the user who asked:

I haven't been offered aid by Berkeley/NYU yet. Presumably Cornell won't give me any. It will mostly be need based.

165, 3.72, URM (MA Male), Teach for America, first in my family to attend college, helped transition students from my high school to my alma mater (low retention rate), soccer coach for kindergarten... that's about it lol.

When I took my LSAT, I beasted the LR -- now I'm slowly focusing on comprehension/logic games -- mostly reading for understanding. I'm scared to jump in when I haven't practiced in so long, but I still have a firm grasp of all the fundamental concepts.

Welcome Oskosh! First congrats on where you have gotten in so far, sorry to hear you haven't gotten money yet.
Don't be afraid to jump into the material again. When did you take the LSAT?

December.

I haven't gotten money from Berkeley because they release their financial aid around April. NYU I was only admitted last week lol. I was a late applicant.

Are you managing to study while on vacation? Curious as I have a 3 week trip planned in June. In case I have to delay to October, I want to be able to study during those 3 weeks.

Pay attention. He's not retaking because he landed a snazzy new job and now I don't have a retake study buddy. Selfish caterpillar! Only considered with his own metamorphosis ~*~*

If you delay to October, you can sacrifice those three weeks, IMO. However, there's no reason why you can't bring some drills to keep the skills sharp.

Take at least one of the weeks off. Or all three.

You will come back sharper (I'm serious). There is no reason that, if you start now, you should be unprepared for OCTOBER. That's six months away. Go on vacation.
Whiskey, your location is 180.

I had a 3 week vacation in December and brought all my drilling packets and some PTs with me. Barely got through 1/3 of what I intended to so I decided to postpone from February to June. Don't plan on studying much unless you have really really really good discipline.

I'm assuming the 3 week trip is after the June test? If so then don't study and just enjoy your vacation like others have said. You'll probably benefit from the time off. Besides, you won't know your score from June and you won't know if you will even need to retake.
