I am really hoping this is true because for the first time ever, when I encountered a completely unusual game type I didn't buckle and fuck it up. I really think I kind of got it and really only struggled on the very last question because of time, so I'm hoping everyone complaining on here (where there is a disproportionately large number of high scorers) means that they're definitely will be a higher curve, one ill really benefit from.
People said this about PT 72... and it was a pretty easy game.
PT72 also had a non-standard 1st game, kind of like this one.
But it did not have a generous curve.

I think it really speaks to our collective neuroticism that the majority of us voted that we think scores will come out the 29th or later, but are still freaking out about benywatt (wherever he may be) and refreshing every couple of seconds

It seems to me that LSAC's intention was to create a game (referring here to the magazine features game) which was just non-standard enough to scare people who had become accustomed to strictly delineated categories of games. IMO the questions for that game were really pretty straightforward, but because you just couldn't diagram it, it tripped up people who were reliant on diagramming.
LSAC knows how people study for this test and what strategies the various test prep companies recommend. So they know how to create games which are hard even for people who did a lot of test prep. It might be hard in a different way than you're accustomed to from PTs but I wouldn't bank on a generous curve just because of this game.

Yeah i agree. I think it was a questioned aimed at people who prep too rigidly. once i did the first question the game came together so easily. I looked at my listed rules and could see what tricks they were gonna try to pull. I hope i'm right and not that i've gone crazy.

You could diagram the game, though.
Unless you couldn't and I did, and that's why I was confident haha.

you didn't need to tho. low amount of variables. a lot of the questions were simple inferences.

True, but you would set up the diagram to verify the inferences that you were making, right? Because there were several inferences that I made, but I just couldn't believe it was that facile lol.

well the first 3 games i thought were conventional but med lvl ones. The last one was a easy game just worded in a way too seem like there was more at play, but after the first question you saw the type it was...

I mean I'm sure you COULD diagram it but I don't think it was designed to be diagrammed. If that makes sense.

The first one was a simple game with a little twist.
The next two I agree were conventional, medium difficulty games. I was panicking during the 3rd game.
Agreed with your assessment on the 4th game.

B/c based on what y'all say that's going to be what determines the score haha. Seriously, I don't even know what to think anymore.

Test companies do not get a heads up from LSAC. The overwhelming majority of people who work at LSAC do not get a heads up from LSAC. But you could see where a test company might be interested in saying a guess based on historical averages of 21 days after June 8th and state like they know it. If they are wrong people would just keep guessing their own dates and if right they would get a nice, cheap internet buzz...(not saying they did that, I'm just saying LSAC wouldn't tell test companies)
I don't know either (and man have I tried). Most people at LSAC do not know. Everyone is just guessing, fwiw. Next week certainly seems like a very high probability but if someone not named Pete Paschley says it they are just stabbing at that date.
Good to know. I honestly wasn't sure if we did or not, I just know I always get that "email your students" email.
I just called the President of a large test prep company who I know well. He said "for the last 2-3 years licensees get an email with the test from the Licensing Dept. the day the test comes out (except for Feb) and it has a warning not to release the tests until scores are out. So a very small number of people (20-30) *may* know either right before, during, or right after scores come out. As Licensees they are somewhat beholden to LSAC and thus sit on it even if they know a few hours early. But now I will hopefully know when they know.
And he has not gotten that email today.
So the plot thickens.
I hope this makes sense. New to me!

So people like CambridgeLSAT, who put the test on sale via download almost as quickly as the scores are released.
