I'm going to write about how my childhood fear of bats set off a chain of events that led to my parent's murder and my subsequent committal to vigilante justice. I'll end with a why law statement about how a single vigilante is ineffectual when it comes to realizing lasting change, and how I've come to understand through my escapades that, if I ever want to achieve that, I need to pursue justice from within the confines of the existent legal system.

I'm not. There is no right answer to this. It depends on the flow of your essay. I don't think adding in why law at the end as some sort of afterthought is a good move.

Agreed. It can be really awkward if done as an afterthought. My essay was based on life experiences/work that sparked my interest in PI so it was a little easier to include, I think.
