hmm it seems like we're all scoring around the same range!! woohoo!!

So what do you guys like to do after taking a PT? Yesterday was my first time ever not doing the BR the same day. It was nice to have a break to rest my mind, but I ended up having a crazy nightmare about the LSAT.... lol

and Pepp! You got this!! It seems like our plateau is very common among LSAT students? Or maybe I'm just biased in my over-generalization lol.

zacboro and stray - what's your method of attack for the RC section??

You know I've been thinking what my problem might be. TCR for RC section usually doesn't have the strict burden of proof as LR questions do. And I've focused so much on the LR section, maybe I'm finding it harder to switch to RC mode b/c some of the correct answer choices are so vague and not really valid.

are there patterns in RC? Haha..

My goals:
LG:-0 (I'm able to get -0, I've just been making a lot of stupid errors due to misreading)
LR: -2/section
RC: I would love to see -4/-5. The recent -6/7 is making me somewhat wary of this goal however..

Just did PT 60 and managed a 166! Big improvement from 159 mid-December.

Breakdown: (Have not done BR yet..bad I know but I need a break)
LR1: 19/24
LR2: 20/25
LG: 20/23
RC: 23/28

I still hate LR so much. But I'm determined to improve that a lot over the next month. I really struggled timing my RC this test which I think was because it came last, but I need to work on that.

Going to take the rest of the day off and BR tomorrow then drill forever and ever.

I'm hoping my averages for this week are:
LG: less than -1
LR: -2
RC: -5
^ Holy shit you guys are already at this strictly timed and you're taking in June?

Edit:Haha whoops. February thread. Okay that makes way more sense.

On my break from some PT in the 40s, since I have very few that I haven't taken.

God this is so boring.

Rigo, you are going to be so bored if you do this again. SO BORED.

My eyes are like glazed over; I'm not even eliminating answers, just circling the correct ones.

LG is just barely bearable. The rest of the LSAT can go to hell.

BORING.

Just finished BR for the first three sections - Just thinking of BR-ing RC makes me want to take a break. lol

So as of now:

LR: -2/-0
LG: -3/-0
LR: -3/-2
RC: -6/ n.a

I find myself getting the easier questions incorrect...WTH? Except S3 LR Q21, this question got me stumped both times. DId anyone take PT71?
zacboro wrote:Honestly I really differ from everyone else. Everyone on here thinks that endless drilling and constant work is going to get them to the top. I disagree, I think strenuous days of serious practice and then SERIOUS review is going to work better for me. I really only plan on doing a few sections a week. That's how I've been getting better at LG & LR. Maybe it will work for RC maybe it won't. But I think higher quality but less quantity practice will help me more than lower quality higher quantity burnout type drilling.
I know what you mean... I used to be the one that wanted to get through as many questions as possible. My line of thought was "try every question before writing the test!" This is actually not the smartest idea... I pressured myself to do at least 4/5 sections a day, but I ended up overexerting myself. I would either not review thoroughly or I would find myself behind and feeling really bad about it. In hindsight, I think I wasted precious material doing this.

Whatever you do, don't skip any you don't understand no matter how frustrating some questions seem.
The absolute vast majority of the time I'm unsure of a question, I've narrowed it down to two choices. Then I just go with my gut. Staring at it for 10 minutes during BR gets me nowhere since I almost never go beyond my gut reaction: I just flip-flop back and forth between the two choices. Then when I check my answers afterward and see what I still got wrong I zoom through review and don't get much more out of it than "I was right the first time" or "Ok this is this and that is that." I'll understand what was wrong with the one choice and right with the other but it doesn't seem to make any deeper connection than that.
so much wrong with this lol you want to get to where its not "oh I my first guess was right... oh well" you want to dissect it so you get why you were unsure and then become sure... it may not seem advantageous at that moment but it adds up
