i was very grateful that i got a job just after i moved--not really for the normal reasons one gets a job e.g. money--but because it made me have a reason to get up at 6 or 6:30, which without such pressure, it would have been hard for me to get into that routine, which is so necessary for the 8 30 am go time

Honestly, I wasn't nervous at all. I guess insane amounts of prep can do that to you.

grey as ive said b4 i have a friend who is starting an MLS program at mcgill. she texted me the other day and said that canada is so much better than the US that she never wants to go back to the US. idk y any1 would say this sort of thing. tbh i think she is going to either 1) marry a canadian for citizenship purposes, or 2) renounce her American citizenship to become canadian.smccgrey wrote: No, but not apologizing profusely for leaving probably would be.
ive never been to canada so obvs i cant speak to the quality of life in either country, but can you? im assumig youve spent time in the US. is canada like >>>>>>>>>>>>>> US?

ive been thinking about getting up on saturdays and leaving at the time im going to leave for the test and driving around for awhile and going home and testing. i feel like getting up at the time i normally would (for the test) and then not simulating test morning is slightly misleading to my psyche. also my test center is like a half hour away so yeah that kinda suxbound wrote: Before I took December 13', I started waking up at 5:30am everyday for 3 weeks prior to the test. Yeah I would highly recommend that actually. Get up, eat, shower, go get a coffee...do whatever you're going to actually do on the morning of test day. Even if you're just going to PT in a starbucks or the library or something...it really does help. You don't want to be stressed the morning of the real thing. You want it to feel like just another PT.

Re: The Official September 2014 Study Group
I am absolutely miserable at my job. I've gotten promotions recently that put me in almost untenable position unless I work 70+ hours a week, which I just can't do while studying for the LSAT (which is more important for my life success). It's so frustrating. I got a (marginal) raise and it looks phenomenal on my resume, but I don't know how I can keep it up. Every day I consider when is the best time to resign - after the LSAT, after I get my scores back, after I apply, after I get accepted to an acceptable school, after I get scholarship info, after I commit?BillPackets wrote:i was very grateful that i got a job just after i moved--not really for the normal reasons one gets a job e.g. money--but because it made me have a reason to get up at 6 or 6:30, which without such pressure, it would have been hard for me to get into that routine, which is so necessary for the 8 30 am go time
Oh - I'm doing the job of two and a half people and I have the same goal expectations as everyone else doing their one job? Bitch, please.
Absolutely miserable. At least it's good preparation for BigLaw. My boss told me the other week that their model for employees is to work them hard until we burn out or are promoted. Of course, in BigLaw I'll be well-compensated, be in an industry I like, be working in my career field, and won't have more important things to be working on.

Everytime I get flack from my boss or clients, I deal with it while thinking to myself: "Yea, bitches, in one year I'll be at a slick-ass law school while you're stuck in this shithole living your miserable, dead-end lives."

My testing center is 3 blocks away at my UG. I think I will wake up at 5:45, eat breakfast and hot chocolate
, and do a logic game and a few LR questions. I will walk to my testing center to get my body fully awake, yet calm.
