Is everyone's score posted online at the same time? i.e. would the people who are sent emails later in the day be able to see their score earlier on the LSAC site?random number wrote:LSAC sends out batches of emails over a period of several hours on score release day. Your score is posted on the LSAC test page simultaneously. Before this begins, the green icons on the LSAC test summary page will turn gray, an event which incites considerable excitement on TLS. However, the icons can turn gray hours before you actually receive your score, so be prepared for a painful wait and much inbox refreshing.Baby_Got_Feuerbach wrote:
How exactly are we notified of scores? What does the LSAC email look like?
Edit: Scooped
Also, the February test wait is much more painful because the curve is not released, which prevents the type of rampant speculation most TLSers distract themselves with while awaiting the release of later scores.

Re: February 2014 Waiters
No, your score doesn't pop up online in your account until the email has been or is about to be sent. It's either refresh madness all day or just leave the computer and do something else until late evening to distract yourself and try to act like a sane person that day.HanShotFirst wrote:Is everyone's score posted online at the same time? i.e. would the people who are sent emails later in the day be able to see their score earlier on the LSAC site?random number wrote:LSAC sends out batches of emails over a period of several hours on score release day. If you have Google chrome, Safari, or whatever, you can download an extension that refreshes your current page automatically at intervals that you can set. (So, you can make it refresh your page every 2 seconds, or - every minute.)
I have chrome, and mine is called Auto Refresh Plus.
That way you just have to stare, and no action is necessary.

Agreed as well. (Except I'd put my experimental LG at about a 1.) Hence why I'm hoping for that sweet, sweet -12 or higher curve!HanShotFirst wrote:This is probably the best assessment of the test I've seenBaby_Got_Feuerbach wrote: Here's how I'm comparing each section to past tests, with 5 being on-par and everything closer to 10 being more difficult.

I am just so disappointed in myself. I let the pressure and nerves get to me. Lord have mercy on the questions I guessed on. Good luck to you all. I will probably be going to my dream school 100k in debt because it looks like my Feb score won't give me a scholarship boost.

100k may not be so bad depending on what your "dream school" is. Is it worth it to wait another application cycle to save 100k? Perhaps retake?

This was my retake. I would be depressed if I waited another year. I am going this fall. I know it sounds silly. October was -12, I don't consider -12 to be a super generous curve.

I've seen a lot of people complaining about game 4. Out of curiosity, do people find circle games difficult because they are uncommon meaning they don't get practiced or is there something else about that game type that makes them tough?

and how will it affect those hovering around 160 ?

No idea. I didn't retake in feb as I've gotten into some of my top choices already.Lwoods1020 wrote:what is your prediction then?Attax wrote:October was -12, I don't consider -12 to be a super generous curve.

160 is typically around 70 questions correct, regardless of the curve. It will change a bit, but 70 right is pretty typical for 160 IIRC. From what I've gathered the games on this one were really hard, but you can't let that skew your perception of the curve. One really tough game doesn't mean that the entire test was hard. It seems most people thought the rest was average to easy, so I'd expect it to prob be -11 or -10

Re: February 2014 Waiters
Looking through PTs 52-61 a 160 ranged from a low of 23 questions wrong to a high 28 questions wrong (or 72 - 78 right if you want to approach it from a different angle).Attax wrote:No idea. Thanks, I wasn't looking at actual numbers, so I'd say probably a good bet is 25±3 for a 160 is what you should expect.haus wrote:Looking through PTs 52-61 a 160 ranged from a low of 23 questions wrong to a high 28 questions wrong (or 72 - 78 right if you want to approach it from a different angle).Attax wrote:No idea.
