All these suggestions to read non fiction. When?? I know Fra worked full time and still did it, but how?? I don't have time to sit down and breathe. I certainly cannot do it at work. I have tried doing some "post black belt" Sudoku at work, and people started talking about it. Its okay to run your mouth half the day, but no, do not do anything that might help your non-work efforts even a bit.

in fact, don't use anything as an excuse
100 pushups every day is nice and all but I think it would be best to increase by 5-10 every day and take a day off every week

I'll echo this sentiment with an anecdote: my ability to sit for prolonged periods of time to focus, process, and be productive correlated positively with my ability to mentally endure three hour windows of mind-numbingly boring aerobic training. I feel I've lost a bit of mental fortitude since I stopped.peppermint wrote:Plus exercise boosts blood flow to the hippocampus, which is an important part of the brain for learning and memory.
