Did get an iced coffee at the not-sbux café. I couldn't bring myself to walk the two extra blocks to Sbux I'm afraid.
Walking is good you, bruv

Both were from different PT, I chose them from one of the problem sets from 7sage.

GUYS THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING WTFFFF?!?!??!?!? I never thought I would actually improve in RC, this is crazy af but I'm super glad that it's happening. I'm still somewhat doing the memory method, except instead of not looking at the passage, I just glance at each paragraph and just say in my mind what that paragraph's purpose is.

Will be doing 2 more RC passages later.
congrats! :D that's pretty much exactly what I do -- read a paragraph, summarize it, then reassess that passage as a whole.
Yep! Do you do any markings at all? The memory method goes against doing any markings but my own personal preference is to always quickly circle names or groups. Even though I can remember where the names/groups are located, I still think it's helpful to have my eyes go directly towards the circled name/group.
I haven't marked anything in any of my PTs, but that doesn't mean it might not be helpful once in a while!
Oh, interesting. I mean you can always just make copies of your PT or RC sections and try out maybe marking a few things, if you want of course. That's what I do, none of my original PT have writing on them. The buddy I got them all from didn't write on them either so they're in good shape! Well, besides some crinkles and bends but hey, it's paper lmao.

I'd call you lazy, but, when I lived in Manhattan, I would get Chirping Chicken delivered...I lived less than two blocks away. I did this at times when I wasn't busy and it wasn't raining as well.

Hiked with my wife 10 miles this weekend catching pokemon then spent an hour driving around a cemetary restocking items #noshame. The game is really forcing us to discover parts of the city we didn't know existed

Any tips on avoiding the easy mistakes? Nothing really surprises me anymore, and I am not flummoxed by any questions, yet I cannot put it together.
That's a great place to be, all things considered!

Are you noticing more little mistakes during PTs than drills? Could be endurance - something that would hopefully improve with time/more PTs. If you're noticing misreading the question stem is happening frequently, I find underlining the important words (strengthen/weaken, except, etc) to make sure I've actually read/registered them is helpful. Also, obviously this is tricky with a timed test, but, if you can, slow down a bit to make sure you've read the stimulus, question stem, and answers completely and that the the answer you picked is the correct one.

Eta: and if it's RC, actually verify it with the text if you can (especially for the really specific questions.) If you don't have time, make your best guess, put a mark beside the question, and come back to it at the end if you have time.
Appreciate this.

I think it is endurance and nerves, for sure.

When I sit down to do a random timed section, the worst I do is -2 regardless of section.

Alas, PT 49 tomorrow after work! Staying on the grind.

Sounds like you're killing it with drills! I definitely have major problems with endurance and nerves as well, but here's hoping that with more PT practice it will lessen. :) If you can manage to translate drill scores to scores on PTs (and, of course, on test day) you'll crush it.

Lol at saying that i called it a day for lsat prep. I've been working on some flaw questions since they wrecked me the other day, and I feel like I can read LR stims much faster now that my RC reading has gotten faster. This might just be mental but idk

Yeah, breaks are dabes. But I figured I would get a bit more prep in for the night (I'm done now though), since tomorrow I'm not really going to do anything LSAT related besides during lunch for an hour.

Solid day of LR Drilling. Also, finally, read the 7sage Memory Method for RC. Going to give it shot and make up some RC packets!

SweetTort- What do your RC packets consist of? I forgot to write it down last time you guys told me.. Couldn't find the page and figured it was easier to just re-ask at this point. Cheers

Good way to spend the day!
I couldn't sleep until after 3 last night, but I desperately need to get back to an LSAT-appropriate schedule, so I woke up at 7am anyways, and I'm way too fucking tired. I really feel like I should do some LG considering yesterday's PT but I so don't want to.

Yeah...it's a problem... haha.

For today...

Testmasters homework...

Finished the methods of reasoning questions... 18/20 (30/30 from the day before)

Did 10/60 parallel reasoning (9/10)... I felt that I wasn't as comfortable on them, so I'm going to read some of the Manhattan LSAT on the topic before I go to bed before I burn more questions of that type.

Did 20 games... some new, some old...

Oct 99 G1 - 5:50 - 6/6
Oct 97 G1 - 5:45 - 5/5 (7sage rec time 5:00)
Dec 05 G1 - 6:30 - 6/6 (7sage rec time 6:30...def could do this one a lot faster...was somewhat distracted while doing it)
Dec 12 G2 - 6:00 - 5/5 (7sage rec time 5:00)
Dec 00 G1 - 6:00 - 5/5 (7sage rec time 5:00)
Sep 06 G1 - 7:00 - 5/5 (7sage rec time 6:00)
Jun 00 G3 - 5:15 - 5/5 (7sage rec time 7:00) ...had seen this game before... I made myself go through answers rather than be like well I kind of remember this one so let me test this one first...
Oct 94 G3 - 6:00 - 5/6 (7sage rec time 7:00) ... really careless mistake... just didn't read the problem fast enough / didn't want to take longer than 7sage again [assumed it'd be 6:00 rec time haha]
Jun 92 G1 - 8:45 - 5/6 (7sage rec time 9:00) ... really super careless mistake ...
Oct 99 G3 - 7:15 - 6/6 (7sage rec time 9:00)
Feb 97 G2 - 5:15 - 7/7 (7sage rec time 6:00) ... loved this game... such a confidence booster... no local work at all.
Oct 92 G2 - 5:00 - 6/6 (7sage rec time 6:00)
Dec 96 G2 - 6:00 - 4/5 (7sage rec time 6:00) ... really stupid mistake.
Oct 04 G2 - 9:00 - 6/6 (7sage rec time 9:00) ... had to go back to 10 after finishing in 8:00, took me 1:00 to get 10
Dec 06 G2 - 6:45 - 5/5 (7sage rec time 10:00) ... I had done this game a long time ago, but I thought of a new diagramming that just made the game a ton easier... I combined the H - F - G rule into the conditionals this time and realized they were basically giving you one of two possible worlds.
Oct 02 G3 - 12:00 - 4/5 (7sage rec time 8:00) ... I wasted 2 minutes on #17... went on and #19 took me some time... then went back to #17 and spent another three minutes and just picked something... did not read the "EXCEPT" (I partially attribute this and some other errors to doing games on looseleaf)
Dec 02 G4 - 7:00 - 5/5 (7sage rec time 7:00)
Oct 96 G3 - 9:00 - 5/6 (7sage rec time 8:00) ... missed #17... not even mad... REALLY nasty question IMO... really weird rule... each thing represented in each sequence of eight at least once in a 9 string thing (aka it can't be 1 or 9)
Oct 93 G1 - 14:00 - 7/7 (7sage rec time 8:00) ... I think I started to suffer from fatigue at this point... this game also didn't totally click for me... it was just super open ended... even with distribution.
June 04 G4 - 7:00 - 4/5 (7sage rec time 8:00) ... circled wrong answer.

Overall, fairly happy... most errors were just really silly. I was fairly happy with timing except for two games, but I think that was, in part, fatigue by the end of it...106/112 I think?

More and more, I'm realizing how much luck plays into all of this. I could hit anywhere from 170 to 180 on test day, all depending on where my mind is at.

Definitely. All we can do is increase the odds of getting the score we want as much as we can; there will ultimately be so many factors we can't control.

Hi everyone,

I have a specific question with regards to LG, and I'm hoping you guys can help me out. My question is specifically about 15.4.LG1 (Q#6). I got stuck on this question, and spent way too much time trying to figure it out. 7sage recommends "brute-forcing" your way through the problem (basically plug-and-chug with the answer choices). Is there any alternative way that you recommend to solve this problem quickly/efficiently? It seems that there are a number of LG questions that come up that require brute force (although fortunately, not that often...). TIA!
