oh man I feel like I got wrecked by both the LR sections from PT 70 :( however, I did go -0 on LG (scored that section since I won't BR it) and feel good about the RC. I'm gonna start BR tonight but idk if I'll finish

edit: well apparently the first LR section was only 2/5 difficulty on 7Sage so maybe I need to warm up more hehe. whatever, I guess we'll see when I actually score it.

Fuck, -2 on another LG pack. Stupid, sloppy errors.

My Yogi tea quote is: "Act, don't react."

I'm taking it as a sign, that I should act with the Memory method and not react with my recent RC dips!

So, I sincerely recommend trying out the 7sage Memory Method on Economist articles. You don't burn materials, you deal with denser passages, and you work on retention.

Dec 05 LR 1 #19 is a garbage question IMO... I don't get how (B) is wrong and (A) is right...

I just watched the lesson explanation (twice) and submitted a ticket on it... I didn't get it wrong for any of the reasons stated on the video... I fully understand all of the cosmetic differences there. That said, the video says that the stimulus doesn't make an overgeneralization, but it *definitely* does unless one uses an *extremely broad and wrong* definition of habitually... in fact, the reason they give for (B) being wrong is exactly why I think it is right...

Someone else care to answer, I've been getting some guy that gives kind of crappy explanations IMO.

Some guy's subscription has been coming to my mailbox. I feel a bit bad since they're not mine, but I'm not complaining.
Great idea using those for the memory method - I'll try that.

So in light of the recent LG disaster(s) - my new plan is taking practice PTs from the 40s, where I've seen the LR but not the LG, with LG at the very end. Might do 6 sections, we'll see. Obviously not the most ideal, because it takes much more mental energy to get through an unfamiliar LR than a familiar LR, but it's the best I can think of, and I'm not really sure where else to go from here.

Suggestions, anymore?

Major props to people who are actually able to go right from a PT to BR. Man... :P

Idk how people do it, it's exhausting! I can only BR in the same day if I do like 1 or 2 sections and THAT'S IT. A whole PT is just crayy bruh

Why not use the LG from the 40s as timed sections, as in do them as timed sections. Make a fresh/extra copy of all the LG though (unless you have them in PDF), and use the more recent tests for PT's.

Yah. I only BR immediately if its an LR drill from Cambridge. Even with RC when I was reviewing, I took a break (usually lunch lol) and then went at it.

I don't know I think it's better to wait until the next day, so you won't be biased by your preconceived notions following a PT.

Being biased about your preconceived notions isn't even the biggest issue imo. The biggest issue is that the person will be tired, and might not do such a thorough review as they should because they feel like getting it over with. I used to do this back when I first did PTs a while ago, and it's definitely not the way to go. Unless of course, the person is a maniac and never feels fatigue, haha.

Finally finished LG drilling. One thing I caught myself on was an M, N rule. It was something like M->-J and -O and N->J. Luckily I caught myself after glancing at the rules for a quick second, that could have been a major faux pas!!

About to hit the chapter of Grouping Distribution games then RC.

Happy studying everyone!!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
