I mean it might have something to with the amount of passages I've done in so little time (at least I think it's a lot), but I truly do recommend the 7sage memory method to anyone who doesn't have a solid RC method or are struggling with RC. There's some passages that trip me up (1 that I did earlier caught me off guard but the rest I did today went smoothly), but I've seen improvement from using their method and I'm vouching for it.
Side note: think I may start doing PTs sooner than I thought I would. Will probably just spend the weekend drilling, and then do a PT on Tuesday.
Interesting. What's this memory method?
I just started on RC and ordered the Manhattan guide.
Trying everything at this point to get an optimal result.
I wouldn't recommend trying "everything" because that's what I did for my June take, and that didn't end up going well. It didn't allow me to stick to just one way of doing things.
7sage's memory method is basically bettering your short term memory when it comes to RC. You read through a passage (essentially with no markings) and then before you look at the questions you look away from the passage and get a piece of paper and just write down a short 1 sentence summary of each paragraph as best as you can without looking back at the passage. You do this for about a minute and then go back to the passage, quickly look at the passage's paragraphs and make sure you know the structure of the passage and WHY each paragraph connects to each other. Then you do the questions. You keep doing this with a few passages and then eventually, instead of writing 1 sentence summaries down, you just look away from the passage and say it in your head. My explanation might be mehh, but you should look it up and get more info on it! It doesn't sound that great, I know how you feel, but trust me I felt the same way before but I've seen improvement.
i think you might have to make a free 7sage account to access his video explanation on the memory method, but i'm not too sure
