I'm starting to get disheartened. I'm getting worse and worse, especially in regard to RC. I don't know where to go from here.
Sweet, that's still an incredible score - and, when you consider what your PT average over the past couple of weeks has been, you're doing amazingly well. I know it's frustrating to see score drops, but keep things in perspective. You're absolutely killing it.
fwiw 65 rc is considered one of the tough ones among 60s pts.

Had timing issue? Which ones you missed?

Not at all timing issues-- in fact, I finished most 5 minutes before it was over. I think my head is just foggier because I haven't been taking care of myself (sleeping, not drinking, exercising, eating healthily, etc). I think once you sort of understand the test, things like that matter way more.

I'm starting to get a bit more comfortable with RC, and it's happening way faster than I though it would. I mean it might have something to with the amount of passages I've done in so little time (at least I think it's a lot), but I truly do recommend the 7sage memory method to anyone who doesn't have a solid RC method or are struggling with RC. There's some passages that trip me up (1 that I did earlier caught me off guard but the rest I did today went smoothly), but I've seen improvement from using their method and I'm vouching for it.

Side note: think I may start doing PTs sooner than I thought I would. Will probably just spend the weekend drilling, and then do a PT on Tuesday.

RC was a flop. I'm seriously thinking of hitting up the memory method since Mikey keeps vouching for it. My accuracy went up by 1 question, but still is not where I want it to be. I don't understand all of a sudden these last few days my RC just went down. Sigh.

So plan for today:

Review RC passages
Check out the Memory method on 7Sage
Watch the Trainer RC video
LG

I was going to do some LR but I'm not sure if I can get all of the above in AND LR. I might push LR to tomorrow, because I don't want to neglect LG and I really need to get this stupid RC down.

Interesting. What's this memory method?
I just started on RC and ordered the Manhattan guide.
Trying everything at this point to get an optimal result.

I, too, can vouch for The Memory Method.

It isn't easy to learn quickly (it takes a lot of drilling) but it is very effective.

New plan: sober until the LSAT, more vegetables, and restoring my 6am wakeup. Other than that, just drilling the shit out of RC and LG. All I need is 2 or 3 more points.

I BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT.
Tbh, I'm terrified to cut into the 70s because I'm worried I'll get a low af score and get super disheartened. It's really probably better to get at least a few of the 70s done with sooner than later, so you can know them thoroughly come test day.

I wouldn't recommend trying "everything" because that's what I did for my June take, and that didn't end up going well. It didn't allow me to stick to just one way of doing things.

7sage's memory method is basically bettering your short term memory when it comes to RC. You read through a passage (essentially with no markings) and then before you look at the questions you look away from the passage and get a piece of paper and just write down a short 1 sentence summary of each paragraph as best as you can without looking back at the passage. You do this for about a minute and then go back to the passage, quickly look at the passage's paragraphs and make sure you know the structure of the passage and WHY each paragraph connects to each other. Then you do the questions. You keep doing this with a few passages and then eventually, instead of writing 1 sentence summaries down, you just look away from the passage and say it in your head. My explanation might be mehh, but you should look it up and get more info on it! It doesn't sound that great, I know how you feel, but trust me I felt the same way before but I've seen improvement.

i think you might have to make a free 7sage account to access his video explanation on the memory method, but i'm not too sure

Yeah it's a great method, and does take a while to get used to, which is why I'm kind of basing my improvement on the large amounts of passages I've done in little time haha

Hi Everyone!

Need some advice. 3 weeks out from the Sept LSAT registration deadline, and ALL test centers in Los Angeles area (aside from 1 test center with bad reviews) are full! Any advice on what to do and how I can get in to a decent (ideally good) test center? Please help!! TIA!

look for a test center that isn't full that you can get a hotel at (just make sure it doesn't have bad reviews before you do that)

No time yet. Still working on accuracy.
On average... Probably -10, so automatic 160. -_-
Sucks even more when you feel confident about your choices.

Gonna have to review like crazy.

Did your average RC score differ from tests in the 50's and early 60's compared to the 70's? I used to consistently score -2/-3 per section early on then my scores in the 70's were a crapshoot---2 in a section, -5/-6 in another. Then the June exam tore me a new one and I got -9 and now I'm lost as to if its one of my strong or weak sections haha.

When I prepped for June, I didn't see a difference in my RC average from earlier compared to the 70's. I was stupid and under-prepared for RC though so maybe I just didn't notice it.
