Gonna do some more tomorrow.

Hey, RZ. Have you been doing the same games over again?

I only really noticed an improvement when I kept repeating the same set of games instead of tackling new ones each week. And to be honest redoing a game is going to be just as effective as tackling new games because there's kind of a limited number of variations that they can throw at you. And it doesn't even matter if you know the right answer because it's about rehearsing the motions, the inferences and of course making sure you diagram the rules right the first time :p

Most of the ones I did today were new, but yeah, that's the plan. I'm just trying to space them out so I don't remember too much between takes. Hopefully by this time next week I'll have done all of these games (from PTs 1-30) at least twice, and if I see major improvement then I'll start taking fresh PTs, if not, I'll just keep redoing these same games until I get better or memorize them lol.

I may also do a couple of those early PTs if I have spare time, even though the scores won't be accurate because I've seen many of the games. I already have PTs 1-20 printed out, and it would be a shame to waste them.

Newb checking in for the June LSAT. My December LSAT score was pretty terrible, 154. Hoping to improve to 165 at the very least, but would like to be around 173. Going to have to quit my job in a couple months to study full-time :(

For you retakers who are joining us, can you pinpoint anything you wish you had done differently the first time?

Well i'm 90% positive i'm retaking in June (157 after 165 average). I'm going to get the 7sage course but I was thinking of getting the starter kit because I already have 30 preptests. I have already used the Manhattan books, LSAT Trainer, and I purchased 4 cambridge packets. What 7Sage course do you guys recommend for a 3rd time taker? (cancelled Sept score)

I shouldn't have taken the test when I knew I wasn't 100% ready. Also, I should have aimed for and focused on 180 from the get-go instead of worrying about all the other aspects of the application process simultaneously.

Honestly, I was just underprepared and exhausted. I was working full time at a job that required a 2+ hour commute a day, then coming home to study until midnight, and all day on weekends. I was averaging five hours of sleep a night for the approximately two months that I studied. I was incredibly burnt out by the time the test rolled around, and also not really ready to take the exam since I'd been PTing around 160.

I'd say minimize anything else that takes away from your study time, don't work if you don't have to, but also be careful to allow yourself time to relax and go out with friends/family to avoid burnout. If you can't honestly say that you're ready and confident enough to take the exam, then don't take it. Don't neglect sleep, eat healthy, and exercise. That's my best advice.

Did a bunch of grouping games today and did pretty well, except for one where I read a rule wrong and missed all but one question

Tomorrow I'll do 10 more.

Not receiving 2 RC passages back to back would've been cool. But just make sure you're murdering LG, I haven't missed a question in at least 10 PT's and I went -1 on the real thing on the second question somehow. RC is always my worst so this time around will be mostly focusing on improving there somehow.

Nah I haven't PT'd in awhile... my last was 166, but that was months ago. I'm going to try to do another soon.

I'm working hard on games for two reasons. First, I'm truly awful at them. I've done 85 drills so far and I'm still pretty bad. Second, I have serious problems with procrastination so I'm trying to really throw myself into this and have the momentum carry me to a 173+ in June. I have a history of underachieving due to laziness, so I'm afraid of slowing down or stopping.

Hey guys, I've been off TLS for some time, but I've been studying. This weekend, my focus has been to go back through The Trainer to revamp my LR strategies. It's been great so far.

Also wanted to share how amazing TLS has been in terms of finding motivation. Everyone else in my life seems to be pressuring me to take the LSAT. I'm always being asked when I'm taking it. I'll take it when I'm damn well ready to take it and not a second earlier.

Ugh. I just did this mistake too. And it was terrible because that was the only game I missed any questions on.
I misread the stimulus and didn't realize that they said that S could only receive one phone call per day, so I figured that it must be a really tough game since one of the rules mentioned day sequence. It was the Oct 2008 text.
