Currently, I'm alternating LG and LR everyday.

On LG days, I'm going through a chapter of MLSAT LG, and then doing all of the corresponding cambridge games. Anything under perfection means 7sage video.

On LR days, something similar - going through MLSAT LR, and then doing 50-100 problems of the corresponding cambridge packet.

After I've finished my review of the two MLSAT books along with the corresponding drills, I'm going to take a PT to see where I am.

After that PT, I'm going to dive into the Trainer again.

On LR chapters, drill the corresponding set in Cambridge. LG as well.

For RC, I'm going to hold off on drilling until I re-read all of the Trainer RC chapters. After that, I'm going to do 2 RC sections a day for about a week, sprinkling some LG and LR here and there.

After I'm done with my second pass through the trainer, I'm going to take 3 PTs (and review), and plug them into lsatqa.

When lsatqa & PT review expose my current weaknesses, I'm going to do ~100 of each question type for LR, the entire cambridge packet for LG, and...more brute force practice for RC/work on a specific, tailored-to-me approach to that specific question type.

After that, I'm going full throttle PT mode again. I have 11-15 unused PTs (I know, cray cray). After every 3 tests, I'm going to repeat the process above (drilling weaknesses).

Once I've completed all of the fresh PTs, I'm going to look at the Cambridge packets, and do all of the problems I have yet to do (probably some left over LR qs and RC passages).

If it's not the end of May/beginning of June by the time I reach this point, I'll begin recycling PTs in order to stay in peak LSAT condition.

What do you guys think/what are you planning on doing?

Its a "Proctor Anywhere mobile app." Its actually good-I kind of like it. It allows you to test under "real conditions" by providing sounds such as sneezing, coughing, whispering etc. It warns you of your last 5 minutes as well…not bad-I must say. I just don't like the guy that reads the instructions at the beginning. He had that military vibe to him. :D

Its free-give it a try!

I use the 7sage one- it does the same thing with the sneezing and stuff.
I used the Kaplan one before however it seemed to skip a lot. Maybe just a bug.

Yup, our 7Sage app has a proctor, in addition to access to our explanations for every logic game, and our LSAT Grader.

The proctor has 7 different voices, so you can probably find some voices you like. Keep in mind its a good idea to practice with different proctor voices, and different amounts of background noise (also an option in the app). You want to be ready for anything on test date.

Please let me know if you notice any problems with the app. I'll probably update it after I finish another batch of website improvements.

I like this a lot. I'm going to be doing something similar, except I will be doing the trainer first since I haven't done that yet.

Does anyone have recommendations for books to use to study? I used a Kaplan book last time but want to try something different (and hopefully more effective) for the June test. I already ordered the lg bible, but are there any books that cover each section that are as widely recommended?

LSAT Trainer
Manhattan LR
(Cambridge packets of Q by Type- they aren't technically a book but w/e)

Reb, at this point are you still using the Manhattan LR book for your retake?

I'm just drilling hard in conjunction with the Trainer.

Im getting ready to go through it again, actually- in conjunction with cambridge. I did not do any packets with the Trainer- just what was in the book itself.

Somebody help me out here.

I took Feb and did HORRIBLY… like 10+ points worse than my average on PTs (165-170). I studied for 6 months for this thing and I bombed it. The worst part is that I walked out of the test feeling like I actually did well. I am so discouraged and I have no idea how to study/go on from here for June. I've been drilling with the Cambridge packets and I make sure to practice games consistently (it's my strongest section but Feb f'd me over). RC is generally a hit or miss and I don't really seem to struggle too much with time.

What can I do for the next three months? Is it worth changing my study habits?? I want a 170 more than anything and now I'm starting to feel like maybe this isn't the path for me...

I will help you, but let me warn you that I am not fuzzy.

I would be very concerned as well that you walked out feeling good. I underperformed, too (-5 PT average) but walked out predicting my actual score. Did you blind review during your previous PTs? I would be willing to bet that you didn't or that you did insufficiently. I think PTing while blind-reviewing in-depth will really increase your score and your ability to self-evaluate.

Hi all,

Took February '13, scored well below my average PT (mid-high 160s). I decided to sit down and take a PT two weekends ago after taking a year off just to see if taking this June was feasible, and I was pleasantly surprised with a 176. Thinking that it might have been a fluke, I took another one this past weekend and dropped a 172 (my two best PTs ever). I'm definitely excited about getting back into study mode and contributing to this thread where I can.

Right, sounds like confirmation bias. You absolutely need to blind review all of your work, PT's and drills included. Also, go read NoodleyOne's Retaker Guide, that should be your method for this take.

Locate your weaknesses, attack them, and improve. Staying confident is key too.

My plan this time around:

Trainer + 15(ish) PT's + Using Cambridge Packets to drill weaknesses identified after every so many PT's (what number would you guys recommend? 3?) + Blind Review (something I DIDN'T do last time  )

Is there anything you all think I should change or consider adding?

Just for reference, in the past I went through the MLSAT Series + PT's + a Powerscore based course.

So I just bought the Cambridge LR bundle and I'm confused about what people mean when they reference the "level" of difficulty the question is for a particular type (i.e. Level 4 MBT). I know that each packet is arranged by difficulty but I don't see any level designation between any of the questions, like for the Must Be True packet for instance.

Can anybody clear this up for me?

You can find the level designation (1-4) on the Answer key at the end of each packet. Hope that helps! :)

I have a similar number of fresh PTs left. Which ones did you have in mind? If there's crossover, would you like to review them together?

I think it would be a good idea to review PT's together. Someone else posted this earlier, but the peeps in last year's June thread reviewed PT's together leading up to the test and it seemed to help.
