Checking in. I've done mourning; gotta start studying now.

My Oct score is 10 points lower than my average PT score. I think my major focus now is not learning new stuff, but adjusting my mentality. Anxiety really hit me in Oct. I would not let that happen again.

Something really similar happened to me, and it's totally reflected in my score breakdown. I think the most difficult thing is figuring out how to deal with that right now. What's your game plan?

I wanted to first redo PT 70 and see how much I can get without the anxiety. After that I'll just focus on drilling some difficult questions, and perhaps 2~3 PTs per week.

Also my friend suggested Beta blocker. Have you tried that?

So I'm doing the 4 week plan for the LSAT Trainer, but it has 5 out of the 6 PT's in the last week. Is anyone sticking to this? I was planning on following it pretty much exactly as its laid out, but not taking any PTs until 2 weeks out from the test makes me nervous. Anyone tweaking it at all to include PTs throughout or is the consensus to just stick to the plan?

I'd prefer 8 EST, but either would work fine for me.

So I've decided to join you guys and retake. My biggest problem right now is LR (-12) in October. What is the best way to improve this in the next month? I've only taken the BP online class. Right now I am leaning toward LSAT trainer. Any suggestions?

Also I have 6 PT's left. How should I divide them up? One a week?

I scored ten points below my PT's as well.

Yesterday confirmed that it was because of test day stress and burn out.

I retook October test sections yesterday in a break I had in between classes and I only got -3 in each section. I have never gotten -3 in each section. So the fact that I peaked yesterday after taking a break from the LSAT is really reassuring. The weeks before the October LSAT I started to hate the test...I was so sick of it and it started to hurt my PTs.

I am definitely not going to burn myself out this month and I need some sort of strategy to reduce my anxiety for sure.

I also bought the Cambridge difficult LR questions packet. I think that will help bring my LR down to a consistent -1/-0 combined. I got tripped up on the wordy questions.

My Trainer should arrive today. Let's do this. My test was 6 points lower than PT. I think nerves hit me hard too. Now I know what to expect and will work on mental state.

I took the BP online class too and LR was my worst section in October. I was also kind of feeling like I hit the wall with BP methods. I ordered the Trainer because it was recommended here. I think it's worth a shot.

I'm hoping that getting the Trainer today will help motivate me to get started. I feel a little overwhelmed at starting over... Especially because I scored 6-10 point lower than my PT range so I almost don't even understand what happened for 70.

What kind of drills do people recommend using for RC? 8 minutes per passage? What about LR? I really dont have any LR problems with my approach, just seem to miss something while I'm in auto-pilot, something thats been extremely difficult for me to correct because when I work without timed or just look at questions, I can get em all right.

Edit: I also seem to miss a question or two due to timing on any LR that is above average difficulty and constantly struggle with RC timing.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
