You philosophy types are really going to enjoy taking Jurisprudence or whatever it's called at your school. You'll have to dredge through 1L courses first, but now that I'm selecting all my classes, I'm enjoying law school a lot more. Pick up A Concept of Law by H.L.A. Hart if you're interested in some summer reading. Cheers.

I'm not much better Cubs, Dolphins, Bulls, and I guess Blackhawks because I'm from Chicago. The crazy thing is when Jordan was here I was a huge Spurs fan, until they got Duncan (I just don't like him). So I missed the best years of the Bulls and the Spurs, I guess I'm a bad weather fan .

Haha! That's too bad. Dave Robinson was also amazing, not going to lie. Duncan though, I also love. I can't help it.

I had never been a fan of boyfriends and their facial hair. Why is it that men always love facial hair even though they know it drives girls crazy? haha, every guy I've ever been with has said something like "oh, but it looks good on some guys!"

I love facial hair on guys! 2 of my last 3 boyfriends have had some nice facial hair. Nothing too much but I love some maintained scruff and whatnot.

As far as the facial hair thing goes... I guess managed scruff COULD look good. Maybe I've just had bad luck with it..

Currently been listening to a lot of Mountain Goats and Shostakovich weirdly enough. As far as the beard, it's not something I cultivate so much as I'm really lazy and then it happens, and then it's even more work to shave and then eventually it's just like..I wonder how long this can go on for? Normally it's a few weeks but when a scenario like this ran into no shave november (a sacrosanct ritual at my UG) I ended up with a two month beard that was admittedly pretty gross.

long answer: no with some reservations/qualifications

My phenomenology teacher tried really hard to convince us that he just had delusions about the influence the head of a philosophy dept. might have on the nazi regime but I didn't really buy it...as either very accurate or excusable

That being said...I really admire a good chunk of his work. I also think its really hard to try and judge how people behave under a regime like hitler's...But that makes him at best a coward...so that's my rough take on it all

edit: I'm not actually a philosophy major but I thought I'd chime in anyway.

I've been listening to virtually nothing but PJ Harvey, Pet Shop Boys, and Kate Bush since the LSAT was taken. It may be time to revisit the Mountain Goats collection though.

I'm still reading Being and Time and have read several of his essays. There's so much that I like in his works, but I cannot forgive him for swearing allegiance to Hitler and then never even apologizing for doing so.

Pretty much where I'm at...It's pretty unbelievable that such a powerful mind couldn't see the writing on the wall before hand, and not feel any remorse after. It's just like did you have to be such a dick and so influential? what an asshole

MLB- Braves

I basically watch sports with most of my free time though, so I have developed a like/dislike attitude towards some players on teams rather than teams in general for a lot of teams.

No problem. There are some legal philosophers who are more famous than Hart (e.g., Dworkin, Bentham), but Hart writes in a very clear style, and his theories are extremely influential.

Went out drinking last night for the first time since the Packers won the Super Bowl. I ended up projectile vomiting on all my LSAT prep material. I definitely got much more pleasure out of doing that than burning it.
