ECHINACEA! Zicam also works (it's essentially massive doses of zinc), but I like Echinacea because I find that it always helps even when I take it later during a cold, whereas Zicam is generally only effective if taken at the first sign.BJS wrote:I'm feeling sick already - throat feels rough and I have a little bit of congestion. Been sleeping a ton, drinking a lot of water/OJ, and taking Vitamin C pills. Any other suggestions? If I get full-blown sick this week, I'm sure I'll be well by test day, but I don't want to risk it and I don't want to interrupt my testing schedule.
I assume you'll use a decongestant and maybe a nasal spray if your congestion worsens, but if you tend to suffer from lingering coughs after colds, you should definitely invest in an expectorant, as well.
