Re: February 2012 Waiting Thread (NEW POLL!!!1!)
Long-time lurker, first-time poster here (got a new username since my old one had my real first name in it). I just wanted to say congratulations to all of you who got back some good news today! For those of you who are disappointed, I have no doubt you'll come back stronger than ever for the June test.
I just got my score back (first real tests) so here it goes:
PT general range: 176-180
Actual LSAT: 180
Ahh!!! Thank you all so much for helping me make it through this wait! One quick question: what kind of alcohol do I buy for tonight!?

174. I'm super excited and happy about it. My PTs were around 169-174. As high as I could EVER as hoped for.
Best of luck to everyone who's still waiting, and good luck everyone on applications!

Re: February 2012 Waiting Thread (NEW POLL!!!1!)
Hey guys. New to this thread. I got a 166 (93rd percentile). In your opinions, what are the best schools that I could get into with this? I'm a splitter with 5 years of work experience in finance (so also kind of a non-trad).

How do I get scores of 162-167 over 5 pre-tests, and show up and get a 154. I sat down without even knowing what the hell an lsat, or the questions they asked were. I didn't even know there were sections, and I got a higher score than that.

They don't tell you. They score it from 1-100 and send that to the school but it is undisclosed to you. Don't worry about it too much though, it's only as important as your Letters of Recommendation or personal statement, not like the overall LSAT score or Gpa.TexasAggie13 wrote:How do we find out how we did on the writing sample?

I got nailed on this one --
Three points below my lowest PT.
For those willing, see you in June for some appropriate revenge.

I thought the writing sample was like the 500th indicator used to assess potential success in law school by law school admissions people..?bernaldiaz wrote:They don't tell you. You're referring to the 'conversion table.' We don't have that for our test, it's still a grey icon. All we can get is historical data on generally what percentage our scaled score usually comes out to.westbayguy wrote:Not true- look at the attachments to your score- they tell you the curve for the testfoosbol21 wrote:We'll never know. No, I mean it won't be up at all. The February test is unique in that we will never know the curve, because the conversion table isn't disclosed. We also have grey icons for our 'answer sheet' and 'disclosure book' as well, because those aren't disclosed either. We'll never knowwestbayguy wrote:

any of that information. That's just how the February test goes, unfortunately.

170 (Retake from 167 in Dec.)
PT Avg. =172.5 (range of last 10 tests = 169-176)
Should I retake?
