Just rocked 21/22 on LG43 which I think is the lowest wrong I've gotten on a section thus far. Considering the consensus around here seems to be that -0 on a section is pretty much a necessary condition to hitting 170, it feels good to pull off something like that especially after going -8 last night

Decided to just throw 2 rc passages into my day before I call it a night for the LSAT. Timed myself, and I'm pretty happy with the results. Went -0 on the first (didn't BR because I was actually very confident about it!), and -2 on the second one (-1 BR). In the second one, during BR there was this one question that I just couldn't grasp and gave up on. None of the answers made any sense to me, not even the one that I originally chose. J.Y's explanation for it made a little sense but I still felt like the answer choices were very open to interpretations, which is why I found it annoying.

It's so weird, a few days ago I was seeing rc improvement, 2 days ago and yesterday I couldn't even comprehend an rc passage for some reason, and then today I did fine on rc. Yeah idk haha.

I did that one today as well!

Yes I went slightly over the 35 min mark but I do this only when I do individual sections in which I just let the stopwatch go instead of a timer counting down. I spent WAY too much time on game 4 than what was necessary but I'm going to redo this section again soon.
I wouldn't say -0 on games is NECESSARY for getting a 170+, but it's best if you do because the consensus is that it's the easiest section to learn, which it is.

Yeah... I don't think that it's necessary, but I think it's unlikely that you'll go -4 or better on LR and RC if you can't get to -0/-1 on LG.

Today was a bit disappointing with more strengthening questions. I'm not sure whether I just got off to a really crappy start, but I just had way lower accuracy than I'd like. I think most of these questions were pulled from the latter half of the test.

out of 80 (20 more tomorrow + tons of RC)

70/80 strengthen questions...4 necessary...2 sufficient...4 standard strengthen.

A bit worn out to do more questions, but I'm not too worn out to type up every question I missed so that I can print it into a packet

and the questions that felt like they took too long / wasn't 100% sure on

i've been drilling games sections all week to try and get -0 under time. i'm finally able to consistently do that again! woo! gotta keep it up.

i'm still all over the place with LR, and i need to start focusing on RC again. taking a PT on Saturday morning, we'll see how it goes!

Honestly, I just went with 7sage's memory method. At first, I thought that I wouldn't see improvement because it was geared towards "enhancing" your short term memory, but someone on here encouraged me to stick with it, and i've actually seen a lot of improvement in a somewhat short amount of time. My timing is still not great, but my accuracy is getting better. I'd recommend their method if you aren't accustomed to annotating a bunch, because trust me, you'll see some improvement even if it's not immediate. I think I've gone through about 16-20 passages using their method so far.

With great reluctance, took the ol' June '07 PT, as a practice PT.
LG: -1 (lol misread "third and fourth" for "fourth and fifth.") (definitely not new)
LR1: -1 (seen a few before)
RC experimental: 0 (new)
LR2: -1 (seen a few)
RC: -1 (new)
Cumulative: 96
Scaled: 175 #inflatedaf~~ (╯°□°)╯
Mildly annoyed because if I had gotten one less point wrong, it would've been a 177, which at least sounds a little bit better.

God, you know what, I hate PTs. Definitely need to do these more often. I think having a totally new experimental section (and one that's not LG) was valuable.

Haha, I'd hate to see the rest of that test, just because the games section seemed really easy.

...yeah after posting I was like thought it definitely came out wrong typing it as 'necessary condition' but you get my point

Upping the PTs as much as I can for the next few weeks, as it looks like my schedule will finally potentially allow me too, and I don't expect to be able to for the latter half of August.

Aside from that, sticking with the program. Should be done M by type for LR early next week at the latest, then I'll revise my LR drilling strategy.
Fucking terrifying how much of a difference a small amount of points can make.

Are these at speed? If so, you seem to be killing it as is. Going down to 30 minutes a section may not be a bad idea.

I feel so depressed now. I don't know what to do. I guess I'll review the passages and then maybe hit the Trainer for RC? The last two passages destroyed me. Maybe I'll wallow in self pity, but I feel at this stage I will be wasting precious time.

the Trainer was a game changer for me!
This makes me feel better. I was really upset earlier. I think I'm going to hit the Trainer for RC tomorrow, and I picked up some dense books to start reading every day. Hopefully it will help!

Thanks - Yeah, 35 min proctored with 7sage. I was familiar with some of it though, so it's pretty inflated. (I'm doing these old PTs largely to help my self-esteem... )
30 min sections for these ones is definitely a good idea. Also thinking about doing 6 section PTs to help with endurance, or something like that.

So, I just finished reviewing RC. JY had some key inferences on two of the questions where I couldn't figure out why the correct answer was correct, and then it was that AH HAH moment.

So, the rest of my prep for my tonight is hitting up LG (since I've been largely neglecting it lately, only doing 1 game a day) and some heavy duty reading before bed.

Smart me formatted the RC passages so a passage was on one side and most of the questions on the other. (an accident, not a masochistic RC drill.)
whyyy.

Aside from trying not to freak out, because holy shit 2 months,I'm not entirely sure to be honest. Definitely more preptests and more repetition, out of necessity. My RC and LG drilling has been consistently just 4-5 games/passages at a time, timed. Once I finish MLR, LR drilling will look fairly similar, with a bit more variation.

I hoping to be consistently -1 on the drills, and I should almost be there (knock on wood) Once I'm at that point, what's left, aside from trying to move that value to 0 as much as possible, is ensuring I have the endurance to get through full PTs with the necessary speed and accuracy, and being able to respond as well to new games, passages, questions as well as I am with ones I've seen before.

My supervisor is gone for the next few weeks and my office is almost empty right now. I'm hoping, provided I'm able to efficiently get work done, that will mean more flexible hours and being able to work from home sometimes, which should help with prep and having the time for PTs.

With work + prep - use your time as wisely and efficiently as you can, try to get things done early, and make sure to give yourself off-time occasionally or burn-out and resentment will ensue.
i work full time in a real job that can get stressful at times. the workload has lately not been much but i know it'll get heavy near aug/sept.

so i try to get some study done, may be half hour average, in the morning before work. during work i can't really do much lsat related. during evening, i try to review or blind review questions from a recent pt.

weekends i fully devote to lsat, but during the last 4 months went through a distraction that didn't allow for much focused study. i usually would take sections of one of rc, lr, or lg, whichever one i am working on at the moment, but never more than 1 pt per week.

how do you guys find time to post all day during work? you're able to study lsat at work?

i never do this. always leave the first page blank so passage is facing the questions.

but may be one should do this to improve?
