Not happy at all, but kinda was expected. More disappointment at the direction the country is hell bent on taking now, just resigned to it now I suppose Global warming will destroy us all anyway.
I am avoiding facebook for a while so I don't have to look at all my liberal friends rubbing it in my face and all my republican friends act like they just died and the ensuing fights between them.

haha no, I have some particularly aggressive liberal and republican friends and on Facebook it seems like everything is life and death and the end or salvation of the nation and I will just leave it at that
The majority of individuals on my FB who are involved in these discussions are 100% close-minded when it comes to discussion. The debate goes something like this:

R: I'm right, you're wrong.
D: You're just a racist and a bigot. You'll never understand. you'll always be on the wrong side of history.

and when some level-headed individual comes in, they get lumped in with either side and all but completely ignored.

I, like many of you, am a Poli-sci grad. It is this realization throughout my experiences in uni that have pushed me away from much of my enjoyment in political experiences. I wish I would have chosen something else, but I genuinely did like the study of politics, just not how awful people are at discussing it in general (especially those who think they are bird courses so they are dumb anyways). Though, I did know there was some distance between logical discussion and political discourse in a practical arena, which is why I decided i want to pursue the law. Which is fine. I will respect the SCOTUS ruling.
