Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
Ok, so you have basically 40 PT's left untouched (20 old, and the 20 most recent). I dont imagine you are going to get through all of them, so I'd really just make sure you use the recent ones for PT's. After you use the recent ones for PT's I say fuck the old ones for anything but drilling at this point (since you have the LR type book) . So maybe you could do something like take a recent PT , BR, then afterwards see where you are and use the LR type book to strictly drill only the types you are weak at. Repeat.zacboro wrote:Now that you know more, any tips? Or anyone else for that matter? Any tips?
I did it somewhat differently - started with strictly drilling, using PT's 1-38 (cambridge packets) and did every type/question so to make sure I have all the fundamentals, then went into strictly PTing (40-72) and BRing. But with a 174 timed I imagine your fundamentals are already pretty damn strong.
Also I want to add that I think after a while of prep you start to realize what works for you and what doesn't - its just personally figuring it out. Obviously with a 174 you are doing really well. I think just play it out by day and see what you think needs to change in your prep, what you need to work on, etc.

Is it too late to sign up for the February test? I originally planned on only taking the June Test, but everything I'm hearing says it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a back-up test score on record incase for some reason I bomb the June test or if the curve on the February test is more generous than the June test. Also so when I take the June test I won't suffer from test anxiety as much since it won't be the first time I take the actual test.

PT 39 LR2: 22/26
Not bad considering I started to have a headache during this section.

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
I stared at 154, I spent about a month of hard time working on Games and Logical reasoning. I just practice tested at 167, missing 4 questions at the end of reading comp just because time went out and I've spent 0 time focusing that section. I got all 4 right though which would have put me at a 170 if I just had better time management on that one.Dirigo wrote:Ummm I think taking the June test would probably be best. You can always take October if you need to retake from June. And then take December if you need yet another retake.ruizdaw wrote:Is it too late to sign up for the February test? It's not too late to sign up for February, but I'm skeptical as to how prepared you are for a test that is only a month away. How long have you been studying and where are you scoring?
Eta: just looked at your post history and saw your Dec 25th thread. Yeah, don't take February. It'd be super foolish to take the LSAT after only 5-6 weeks of studying. You will not get a 170+ in that short amount of time and your low score will hang over your head. Though schools take your highest score, there is no benefit to having a less than ideal score if you can avoid it.
I plan on spending the next 20 days I have just focusing reading comp. and peppering in some lightwork on LR and LG. I'm gonna take the june test no matter what though. It's just I want to be on the very very very first wave of starting admissions, so october would be way too late if I do end up needing a retake for whatever reason.

It's not too late. TCR is to not sit until you're fully ready. Follow your dreams.
Does a lower average score affect admissions and scholarship offers?

Why do you want to be in the early wave so badly? A higher lsat score in October or even December would be better than applying early with a lower score
