Thanks! I should e-mail them to see if I need a transcript from GSSB in France...it was graded, but it was only a certificate course... so I kind of doubt it? I love sufficient assumption questions where the conclusion contains a new variable... it's really satisfying to just hardline through three answers right off the bat.

Terrible day for prep. Slept in till 10, then had a phone interview and an in-person interview in the city so I didn't get to prep until just now. Oh well hard grind tonight ahead of me. Hoping to do a section and BR of each.

Re: The Official September 2016 Study Group - WELCOME JUNE WAITERS
Only did a very small amount of LSAT stuff today, might do another LG section later but I'm not sure.
PT 42
LR S4: -6 (BR to -1)
ETA: forgot to mention, the LR section was 34:43. So basically 35 mins but I was on 1 question alone for a whileee and even went back to it.
I'm not even mad that I went -6 on this, I found myself being in a "idgaf" mood while doing it and kind of knew I wasn't 100% in the game. The -1 after BR question was a flaw question that I knew the exact flaw that the question was looking for, but the way it was worded as an A/C made me think of that A/C in a different way so I couldn't really wrap my head around the right one.
PT 43
LG: -0!!! (36:41)
Yes I went slightly over the 35 min mark but I do this only when I do individual sections in which I just let the stopwatch go instead of a timer counting down. I spent WAY too much time on game 4 than what was necessary but I'm going to redo this section again soon.

Still a solid score imo, nicePozzo wrote:Breaking the longtime radio silence now that I'm back to PTs.
PT 61 - 4 sections, 7sage proctor
171
-2 LR
-3 RC
-5 LG (WAT?!)
Pleased as punch with LR/RC scores, but that damned LG this time... It wasn't like I royally screwed up one game either. 1-2 wrong on 3/4 games.
BR'd to a 177, so that was encouraging.
In/Out subcategories drilling next couple days, then another PT Saturday or Sunday.

I feel like Stanford would be death then. Isn't the weather there basically like ten months perfect and two months slightly less perfect? I don't think they have seasons.proteinshake wrote:literally Stanford would be law school in paradisengogirl12 wrote:Me neither. I'd die. Ithaca has seasons...they just transition *really* rapidly and *really* randomly.

haha I Iive so close to Stanford. I actually want to go out of state but everything is contingent on my LSAT score! BUT Stanford is gorgeous, and the people there are really nice. No, not really. I live really close to Stanford and this year we got gorgeous weather (major heat wave for so long), but we also had winter and we finally got rain! Overall yeah, the weather here is spring and summer (what you east coasters would probably call summer), and fall-winter kind of melds into chilly to rainy weather.34iplaw wrote:I feel like Stanford would be death then. Although you guys would probably be sporting shorts in the winter. I saw some people doing that and literally thought they were on crack.

Overall I had a productive day until I hit RC.
1) I drilled the hell out of those flashcards for the question type indicators and got them all down
2) Sufficient questions I got -2 out of 32 questions
3) RC--> beyond depressing
I feel so depressed now. I don't know what to do. I guess I'll review the passages and then maybe hit the Trainer for RC? The last two passages destroyed me. Maybe I'll wallow in self pity, but I feel at this stage I will be wasting precious time.
I. Just. Don't. Know. What. To. Do.
Stupid science passages!

I teach full time too! The struggle is so real LOLabcdefg1234567 wrote:SweetTort wrote:So, how are y'all adjusting your prep as we move closer to the test date?
Also, for those of you with real people jobs, any advice on how to manage prep with work starting in August?
I wasted PT's 50-70 for June but I am using them over again for drilling. Really focusing on being able to direct the argument and predicting the answer for multiple question types. This is helpful, since even if I remember the question/answer I can still use the question stem for studying.
I'm thinking by next week I'll do 5 section PT's twice weekly up until the test date.
I teach full time so managing prep time is crucial! Luckily my classes are all in the afternoon/evening. I set aside 8am-12pm M-F for studying and will ramp up to M-Sat leading up. Depending on how I feel I might dial it back down just before to curb burnout.

thought I got wrecked by the male/female snakes/lizards game but I got them all right and under time. definitely wasn't confident though.
for anyone who has done this game (PT 27 game 2):
take a look at question 12. if it cannot be in 1, then that means it cannot be in 5, since they are in effect the same since this isn't an ordering game. the same goes for 2 and 4. since we know there can't be more than one right answer, it must be 3 (C), since it's the only number that doesn't have an opposite. does this sound like sound logic to you? I came at the right answer in 10 seconds using this.

Re: The Official September 2016 Study Group - WELCOME JUNE WAITERS
It comes down to just thinking about why I am doing what Im doing and what do I want to achieve. When I continuously put it in that perspective my inner motivation is easy. Ive gone the extreme before where I would just study and work, no workouts, no friends, nothing and that was where I burned myself out. So I make sure I workout at least 5 days a week and am okay with taking 1 off day to go out and see friends etc whatever it may be. I also try to make time to read books (some LSAT dense ones that help me theoretically study while Im not studying and some business books or motivational books for pleasure)- reading helps me relax and kinda reset.YupSports wrote:Sounds like our schedules are nearly identical, Jager.jagerbom79 wrote:I am working a demanding internship that is on average 9-7. I wake up everyday at 5 and go workout and have like 1-1.5 hrs of some studying in the AM and then study when I get home at night for 2-3 hours. On days I can leave the office at 5:30/6 its great and can get more in. The weekends is crucial as well. It takes a lot of grit and determination but its doable. Thankful for the experience but also happy its winding down here and i can be back to full-time studying LSAT.EnfieldTennisChamp wrote:Yes, and I would also love to hear study plans.HaveMercy wrote:Anyone here studying while also have a 9-5 internship/job? I'm find trouble with this and would love to know your study plan
and whatever day im just too dead to study, that is usually my off-day. (Ends up being friday typically). Two days a week i wont workout and will study in the morning several hrs to account for nights I have to stay super late and work, or I might have to go out for a few drinks/networking or even that date here and there to clear my mind, relax, and have a little fun ;P haha
I'm finding myself to only be a step or two from burnout at nearly all times, though; how do you combat this?
Regardless, this type of schedule is brutal but the way I see it, I want to give life everything I got and it takes true grit and a relentless desire to be successful.
