You switched programs, right?oopsu812 wrote:Lulz, dumb me already did that - ish.Alexandros wrote:Also dumb me is seriously considering postponing graduating to get my GPA higher.
Dumb me got another B+, in the easiest class (fully my fault) rendering it impossible to get my GPA to Ruby level. Rubies r lame anyways, debtfucked is much more exciting.

Yeah, I switched programmes, but they're similar enough that I COULD finish in 1 year, but without any electives left, so I'd be stuck taking all my heavy classes at once. Figured I might as well boost my GPA and be less miserable by taking 2 years to do it instead.Alexandros wrote:You switched programs, right?oopsu812 wrote:Lulz, dumb me already did that - ish.Alexandros wrote:Also dumb me is seriously considering postponing graduating to get my GPA higher.

Surely the Ruby floor is a bit lower for someone with your LSAT, especially these days?

Seems like a pretty hard 3.9 even with a high LSAT (and it's a long shot even then.)

Debt keeps you on your toes (at least that's what I'm telling myself). I'll be 150k in debt at graduation after including my UG debt

I hope so. Really really hoping I can somehow reach 3.9. I feel like if I can A+ the classes I'm taking now with this heavy a workload, then I can do it. So, crossing my fingers, lol.Alexandros wrote:Sounds like you made a very good choice.oopsu812 wrote:Yeah, I switched programmes, but they're similar enough that I COULD finish in 1 year, but without any electives left, so I'd be stuck taking all my heavy classes at once. Damn that sucks. I was under the general impression that LSAT > GPA when it came to scholarships.

It's more a matter of >75%s (why 175+ and 3.8+ can net you a Hammy but not a Ruby).oopsu812 wrote:I hope so. Really really hoping I can somehow reach 3.9. Ah fair enough. I forgot that Chicago's GPA 75th was stupid high.Alexandros wrote:It's more a matter of >75%s (why 175+ and 3.8+ can net you a Hammy but not a Ruby).oopsu812 wrote:I hope so. Thank you for the words of encouragement good man. My only saltiness comes from having hit a 174 on a pt once but not actually coming anywhere near it on test day. That's on me though.Alexandros wrote:That's not too bad imo and you're going to a fantastic school.chargers21 wrote:Debt keeps you on your toes (at least that's what I'm telling myself). That's actually a really good point. Currently I'm doing MBT questions but my worst LR types are MSS (already drilled but might drill again before PTing) and NA. Do you also use Trainer or only Manhattan?TWiiX wrote:I'm doing the 7sage cc again as well. I like to use the MH book for additional explanation/context about questions that I have weaknesses in. So once you go through the CC and start drilling and figure out that you suck at NA/SA questions, it's helpful to have another resource with different verbiage to help get you over the roadbump.ngogirl12 wrote:Oh, ok thanks! I was worrying for a little bit with all the rave reviews..Alexandros wrote:I think the most important thing is just to have something that explains each question type in depth, in a way you can understand.ngogirl12 wrote:Do you guys think going through the Manhattan LR guide is really important? This month I'm redoing the 7sage curriculum/reading Trainer and drilling. I have the Manhattan LR guide but only went through a few chapters before I jumped ship for 7Sage. Is it really worth it?
Are you going to do the 7sage BR group when it gets set up for September or set your own PT schedule?

Totally. Only difference is me living in poverty for 3 years of repayment why chugging through 50k a year. Then we'll be even withing about 100k minus whatever luxuries you can affordAlexandros wrote:Shit happens on test day - You still did very well and got a great outcome. I just want a blender that self-cleans. I would have a smoothie everyday if I didn't have to clean it.
