Yea... If you retake make sure your average is way above that then...
honestly if you scored 5 pts above your pt average and 4 above your highest maybe it's best to just sit on your laurels.
Yeah I know that's probably the common sense decision but I dunno. I was pretty rushed with my prep because I didn't even register for June LSAT until April and I only got a little over halfway through the LSAT Trainer. So I really feel like I have unlocked LSAT potential but I'm also skeptical that I can unlock it between now and Sept. I dunno, it's a good problem to have for sure but the retake decision just got unexpectedly stressful. Was planning to retake in Sept before today.
Um screw Sept. If I was in your shoes I'd get apps in with that score, register for December, and use the next 5 months to ensure I've done everything I can and gotten through all the material... Getting through all the material with basically 2 months left sounds like you'll put yourself in the same situation and since you over performed you may not be as lucky.
This sounds like really solid advice. I'm just afraid that my low GPA would get my dinged some places before my Dec retake instead of WLed

I think though your app will not be reviewed until your December score is released.

You have to request to have your app held for a retake

I got a 164. After averaging around 168/169 on my PT's, I'm a little disappointed, especially since I did uncharacteriscially bad on LG. Went ahead and registered for September, and I just ordered the Trainer and PTs 62-71. Going on vacation on Saturday, I'll hit the ground running when I get back.

Wait can law schools see if you're registered for a future LSAT? And if so would my app go complete still with the pending registration? Sorry I don't fully understand the mechanics of this

Depends on the school. Some will pause your app if they see you registered for a retake

I know Northwestern does

I got confirmation from UChicago that school's cannot see whether you are signed up for a retake unless you indicate it on your app. Many will not wait for this new score unless you specify it. Some will wait regardless of whether you tell them not to (Vandy for me)

Do their servers not have the capacity to release all the scores at once? This staggered release thing is some bullshit.

Hey fam! I won't share my exact score but t was not what I was looking for. More than 5 points below my average! But I crushed LG with a -0 :)

I'm not going to argue you with on this, but I was told the exact opposite by NU and Michigan

Clearly LSAC is either sadistic, archaic, incompetent, or all of the above.
