mornincounselor wrote:In LG it is okay, even helpful, to stop once we find the correct answer. It would be nice if we could the same for RC but that is problematic for many questions. However, for the first time today I am putting a legitimate effort into writing out the line citations for my correct choices. It really doesn't take much longer to write out a number next to a choice, in fact if we assume we return to more than one problem per section it may even same time to have a line citation.

Additionally, I am getting better at looking to the questions between passages in comparative ones and I do definitely see the merit especially on the questions that ask us to find something mentioned in either both passages, one but not the either, or neither passage. Perhaps that method is helpful, I want to try it out more before I commit to doing it on test day though.
serious q: how do you find the time to confirm/find the line citation for every question that needs it on the timed test? iirc you improved in your rc greatly between the takes. can you describe your approach to how you do the passages and how much time you take for different parts of the section?

i looked up the mlsat 4th ed for rc that was suggested somewhere earlier in the thread for the passage salvage approach. its 180 experience doesn't note the time taken for passage/questions. mlsat 3rd has a 180 experience section where they note the passage read/question time for a section from a 180 level scorer. based on that it appears that manhattan favors a pretty fast read of the passage may be around 2-2:30 min as the 180 experience has very quick passage read times and a section finish time of ~28 min.

can anyone explain the 75.rc.Q2 credited choice. it felt too extreme based on line 33 on the passage.

I'm 25. Now I feel dumb and old because you guys are younger and are in the 170s and im in the low 160s.

This happened to me because I thought I was smarter than I am and 3 months of studying is definitely not enough. I deserve it haha.

I was actually under the opposite impression. I thought most were out of school. Now I'm curious. A few years out of college, myself.

I wish Cambridge Packets were more similar to the 70+ RC and LR. I think they gave me a false sense of security/improvement...

Weiner's basic position is that using Western tech destroys/replaces your native culture. Ginsburg says the exact opposite (you can use Western tech and not become Western, you can even use it to preserve who you are culturally better than you otherwise could without Western tech). They are, fundamentally, on opposite ends of the spectrum.
i read it the same way but didn't pick the extreme position due to L33 "Ginsburg concedes that...". because ginsburg concedes a point doesn't that eliminate full rejection?

Guys, I need some honest advice.

I've literally only taken about 7 timed PTs in the last 3 months because I work long hours and couldn't study much. (I also underestimated the test.) My PT average for those 7 is 160.

How screwed am I for December? If I ramp it up and take like 30 PTs in the next 2 months will I be ok? (hoping for like a 168+ for a T14)
