I'm also hoping that the comparative passage is science.

I really don't have a prediction but I would love a LG experimental.
I think my ideal would be LG, LR/RC, LR, LG.
I'm pretty sure the last LG will be one of those misc games to make people go "oh crap". Although I'm ok with that if they're anything like the one in 80, clown outfit game, and potion mixing.

Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
Been quite a while since I last posted. Took a probably ill-advised trip to NYC and then my college reunions that put a dent in my study time. But I haven't gone more than -3 in LR in quite a few sections, and generally -2 lately. Games still virtually perfect. Generally, I think taking that time off really let things sink in and stopped me from stressing out every day after taking so many sections. I can breeze through LR sections now and have many fewer doubts working through the questions.
But Reading Comp though.
At this point, I think it will be the difference between 173+ and 172-. I don't quite know how a section that was at once consistent now seems so variable.
But Reading Comp though.

I don't have a prediction for the sections but I hope RC is early. First even. I'd like to be as fresh as possible for RC and getting it out of the way early would be nice.

Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
Finally took PT80 today. I actually took it on last December lsat. 159
Like always, I remembered more or less the topic of 2/3 RCs, but nothing else, since I never corrected it (man, 159...). It was still the period in which I wasn't very fluent in english, and I had to guess all the last LG and the last RC. So, these two were completely new today.
Results:
December 2016 / Today
LR1: -7 / -1
RC: -11 / -2
LG: -5 / -0
LR2: -5 / -1
159 / 177
Experimental (4 hardest LG from various tests, with 7sage "goal timing"): -0
So, very good! I have to say that I did find the last LG from this test very easy guys, I don't know why it's so renowned to be one of the hardest. I think it's just a fact of graphic! It was so clear that I did it in a bit more that 5 minutes, with other 3 minutes remaining... But in fact, I tried after the test to do it with some different graphics and it was so much harder! The right graph on that and it's easy, trust me!

It seems so! Just keep on working hard these last days!Future Ex-Engineer wrote:It'll be alright dude. Rather have the blow up now than on test day. I had my breakdown last Friday. I went -6 LG after an average of -0.5.
I f@#king fear that something like this could happen.
The good news is: I don't think I could go lower than that and for some school I'm interested in this would be enough for $$$.
But after a some >175, throwing away any chance to t14 would be a bit disappointing. Just a bit.
Fixed it all up and came back with a 172 on Monday. We've got this!

Unless I see 5 in a row of the same AC, I'm not 2nd guessing myself. I have definitely seen 4 in a row be correct more than once.MediocreAtBest wrote: I felt fairly confident in choosing the answers, but when that happens it definitely throws me off a bit.

The "Hard" LR sections seem to baffle me. I'm not sure what it is about my approach, but I ALWAYS score better on the "hard" LR section of the 2. Seems very strange to me. I usually get liek Q7 and Q12 wrong and then get all the level 4 and 5 difficulty ones correct. Meanwhile, on the "easy" LR section, I get 1 wrong in the first 15, and then miss 4 of the last 6. I don't understand it at all.zkyggi wrote:If the 70s are any indication, I think there will be a hard LR section and a hard game. HOPE: Med LR1, Hard RC, Exp LG, Med LR2, Hard LG (with only weird games) and a -13 curve
PREDICTION: Hard RC, Med LR1, Hard LR2, Easy LG, Exp LR with a -11 curve
I want all the hardest sections at the end, with two funky new LG. Section 1 is usually my worst section, and I improve as it goes.

The last LG in 80 isn't hard. It's really just the test makers being dicks because they know most people have been training all the major ones and want to see what happens when you get that one random, which occasionally happened in the past, that can't fit in any of the traditional attack methods. It's definitely trending more recently. You're either in the oh crap and spazz for a few moments camp which kills your time forcing you to guess or you get through the shock and power thorough it using your drilling base to put it in a setup that works for you to solve.InterLaw wrote:Finally took PT80 today. I'm pretty much consistent at -8 on the whole test regardless of relative difficulties, so at this point I just want an overall 'harder' test so that a -8 is a 174/175 rather than a 171/172Slippin' Jimmy wrote:Hope your expectation is right! LG seems to be the only sections where my performance has any correlation to consensus difficulty. LR is just always the same no matter what and I have tended to do better on the "traditionally hard" RC sections while I've struggled on others that most find easy.Future Ex-Engineer wrote:Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Anyone got any baseless predictions for what kinda test we're having? Originally was hoping for early RC, but now IDC. Spent a lot of time soul searching after my week of -7/-8/-9 and realized I wasn't referring back to the passage enough. Thought it was due to sections being late in the test. Turns out it wasn't. Fixed that and have been -4 or better since.

Do you warm up? I typically have the same issue/occurrence, and warming up with a passage or two and about 10 LR questions helps a little bit, but doesn't really change much (esp since typically my only misses are 1-3 questions in the 18-23 range)saf18hornet wrote:HOPE: Med LR1, Hard RC, Exp LG, Med LR2, Hard LG (with only weird games) and a -13 curve

Do people actually say this is one of the harder games? I took it live and thought it was the easiest game of the section. Took me about three minutes to do. It's basic algebra.InterLaw wrote:

Re: The Official June 2017 Study Group
Re-took PT79 last night (was the first PT I ever took, sitting for the real Sept16 administration)
Old stats: 164 (-20)
LR1: -7
RC: -8
LG: -4
LR2: -1
New stats: 173 (-8)
LR1: -1
RC: -3
LG: -1
LR2: -3 (lol not sure how i did worse this time around)
Didn't remember any of this, other than that it was the virus game and Eileen Gray.
Feel really happy to see significant improvement.
One more fresh PT (76) for Friday and then it's go time. So ready to crush this thing

No, i honestly don't have time for a warm up during a PT, I can barely squeeze in the time to take a full 4 section PT with no break. Another reason I think I may do better on Monday, where I will have time to do a game or 2, some LR warm up, and read some passages to get my mind in the right state.Future Ex-Engineer wrote:Do you warm up?
