Same. OP's blatant anti-URM shenanigans and refusal to PW are sabotaging my efforts for June LSAT. He needs to step it up or I'm out.Shakawkaw wrote: I'm starting to think it might be worthwhile to postpone until October for my last take. Hard decision. That noon start time is enticing af.

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Looking to raise it by 10 points. The two times I took it, I tanked because of anxiety. Albeit, in September, I certainly was not ready for the test and I should have postponed, but external pressures, etc. So right now, I'm just trying to get my brain and body trained to be a LOLSATing machine to combat the testing anxiety. It was very weird for me, performance wise. I was going -0 in LG in Sept and December. On the real thing, I went -1 and then -6, respectively. I don't know what could account for the drop so I'm just accepting that I suck and am redoing everything several times.
An additional benefit of postponing would be that I can derp around more with GT before he leaves to Africa. Yawn. I am firmly opposed to putting relationships above the long game, but I don't see two-three months making a huge dent in my career goals. Another plus with postponing would be that I can get away with studying at work because the summer is a slow season for us. In terms of a noon start time, I would be able to allocate more time to travel to a better TC (I'm looking at Queens, and I live in Brooklyn, and do not own a car). Another plus with noon start time is that I am not a morning person.
Tough decisions!

Deciding to pull the trigger on the final take must be hard. Getting it right outweighs expediency.

This. Idk why all administrations aren't in the afternoon. LSAC's scheduling sucks in general. I can't fathom why they have a June administration but not an August one. October kinda makes sense, but December right before finals sucks. Likewise, February is just far enough into spring semester to clash with midterms.Shakawkaw wrote:That noon start time is enticing af.

This being the third take definitely makes it harder. I definitely need to find a way to not let that pressure get to me on test day. Seeing a few cats on TLS jumping where I need to be after three takes definitely gives me hope.Dirigo wrote:Deciding to pull the trigger on the final take must be hard. You have score that puts you in top tier (I know the reality)? That should calm your nerves. Just tell yourself that you always have that score, so from here its only on the up and up!Shakawkaw wrote:This being the third take definitely makes it harder. All valid reasons. Oct is a long way away from your last take. Do you think you'd be 'rusty' at all? June isn't that far from when you were intensely studying for Dec.
I'd generally lean toward more time = better, though. I just wonder about summer distractions etc.

Obviously the one I'm in. But I have classes year round, and don't have the luxury of studying all summer so June is as good a time as any.RZ5646 wrote:What programs have class in the summer?JackelJ wrote:My finals begin the Tuesday after the June LSAT. Btw, is the LSAT at noon abroad as well in June? I can't see where times are listed on lsac.

I saw somewhere on these forums it's a different time, but that may have been for Feb.msp8 wrote:Btw, is the LSAT at noon abroad as well in June? I can't see where times are listed on lsac.

I also don't know how sad I'll be in June. I think I'll probably go into solitary post-June if I were to study for the October test. There would be no excuses there. And I could do LGs on the beach.msp8 wrote:All valid reasons. Oct is a long way away from your last take. Do you think you'd be 'rusty' at all? Re: rusty - I think the skills you hone on the LOLSAT stay with you for a while, and I would go so far as to say that studying for this test changes your brain space and how you approach situations. Maybe I'll be rusty for a few days, but jumping into it shouldn't be too much of a challenge.
ETA: Thank you, Whiskey <3

Then I'd lean toward Oct. And it sounds like you've more or less decided that, too.Shakawkaw wrote:I also don't know how sad I'll be in June. Thanks, BLM. Retaking a 170 for Yale; hopefully a 180 gets me in the playpen.biggestlawman wrote:You have score that puts you in top tier (I know the reality)? That should calm your nerves.
