Today, I took 79 and got the worst score I've gotten since February. I was fine on LG. Like totally fine.

And then just bombed everything else. Even now, looking at the answers, I see how they coulllld be right, but my answer feels better?

I think he was just auditioning to be an understudy and that's why he blue himself, but kind words nonetheless.

Gorsuch- I think that's what did me in. I NEVER read stim first and I gave it a whirl.

It'll be alright dude. Rather have the blow up now than on test day. I had my breakdown last Friday. It was a 166, and the lowest I've ever scored since my cold diagnostic last September.

Fixed it all up and came back with a 172 on Monday. We've got this!

I can generally tell after a PT whether I did well or not, so if you can do the same, I'd say to base your decision to score off that.

Yeah virtually all means most.

I hear drops in pt scores before test day are relatively common and usually don't mean much, gonna keep this in mind when I do 79 tomorrow.

While it is probably too late for people to change their approach, I think stem first really helped me improve in LR. I really don't see any downside for people who understand the concepts. If someone is still conceptually weak, I could see some real issues with a stem first approach.

Holy crap that's two in a row beating my personal best. I've taken this test before, but that was way back in when I was studying for the September test. I've basically completely changed my approach to everything since then. I didn't remember any of questions whatsoever, but I can't rule out that subconsciously I kind of remembered. Either way, this is huge for my confidence. I felt like I bombed games but somehow I pulled it out. Finished LR1 with like 7-8 minutes left.

This has me feeling so freaking good. I re-started my prep in January and was only able to crack 170+ twice over the course of 10 tests, now I'm 3 for my last 3. Not sure if I'm going to take PT75 tomorrow or Friday (saving PT80 for Sunday). Hell. Yeah.

You're not wrong with "basically all". I'd think virtually all means "almost all".


Think of it this way, if I say "virtually all sea turtles live in the ocean" and you say "that's not true, I just saw one in the aquarium", I am not forced to revise my statement, bc it allows for exceptions.


If I say "all sea turtles live in the ocean" and you say "that's not true, I just saw one in the aquarium" then my statement is false.

Started doing stem first when the Trainer suggested it. Hated it for the first two days, then it greatly increased my speed and accuracy. Went from 33 minutes/section -5 avg misses per section to 26 minutes/section average -2.5 misses per section.

At the end of the day I guess it comes down to personal preference, and how your brain works, but I can't see a single argument against stem first.

I actually was a pro stem firstborn person, but this time around in my prep I changed and I like Q first more now. I feel like I have a better understanding of questions. My av dropped a little and I'm stronger in LR now than before, but I wasn't exactly bad before either.


TBH I think it comes down to "feel". Some people might not really rely on methods and so don't need stem first to trigger them to look for things. For others it might be helpful.

Yes, it helped me too! Someone on here suggested to me to read the stem first for RC and LR and I have been out of the 160s ever since I started doing that.

Yes, it helped me too! Someone on here suggested to me to read the stem first for RC and LR and I have been out of the 160s ever since I started doing that.
