Just got to experience how truly uneducated the lay people are about law schools. My buddy is going to a TTT on a full ride, and some of my other friends were giving me shit because I'm paying 6 figures to go to Duke and he's smart enough to take the full ride

Lay people are dumb dumbs. I tried to explain the rational for Ruby over H to my friend back home - totally didn't get it.

It really is amazing that most people think like that. TTT vs. Duke isn't even remotely in the same planetary system. Ruby vs. H is at least a reasonable one and in the same realm haha.

I think law's a bit unique in that differences in rankings = real differences in employment outcomes (unlike UG.) People don't get that when you say you want to go to a top school, it's about getting a job and not just about being a preftige whore. Taking on, like, 6 figures of debt to go to an Ivy over a full-ride to your state school for UG would be a terrible idea, but with LS it's a very different situation.

Yeah well said. Completely different scenario. That was the decision I made for UG knowing I would go in debt for a Master's and Law School.

I'm similar. I like UChi's location and class size a lot more than Harvard's. Grading system too.
