i wouldn't do thatzacboro wrote:I was thinking about starting to do 31 minutes per section. (So I could evenly shave off a minute for each game or passage.) Anyone else try a shortening time yet? Other than by accident ... lol
it's good to get in the habit of utilizing all of your time
making the most of your time at the end is a skill in itself and takes some practice

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
it's appealing as a safety net, but tcr is to learn proper pacing and test strategy so you can utilize all of your time
top scorers usually have time left over at the end of the section and, because they practiced, know how to use that time effectively
they don't make the most of just 31 minutes, they make the most of all 35 minutes, and that is reflected in their scores

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
First of all, thanks for the post. I was thinking about this strategy today, and I was wondering if before you started you skimmed the passage topics/number of questions to decide which one you were going to save for last? RC time is probably my biggest worry come test day.ilikebaseball wrote: First of all, timing. RC was the hardest section to finish on time, IMO. So, I would set my watch for 25 minutes. I HAVE to finish 3 passages in 25 minutes and then I'll have 10 minutes on the last one. The last thing you wanna do is spend 30 min on 3 passages, get to the 4th one without even reading and just guess on the specific questions. You'll more than likely miss every single one. Make sure you have enough time to read through and understand every passage so at least you can make an educated guess. Now, this was hard to do 3 in 25 at first, but you literally get better the more you do. I know it sucks to hear that, but its the truth.

I would say I'm far from a lazy ass. I was too busy enjoying life, kicking ass, and doing something spectacular that I've had planned since May. I will get my drilling done and I might not have done as much as everyone else today (shoutout to nlee doing awesome in LR), but I will sleep happy knowing that this test doesn't control my life. But you do you, just don't call me a lazy ass

Probably only like 6 or 7 full PT's.flawyers wrote:How many full timed PT's do you guys think you are going to have completed before the Feb test?
Just did PT 37 RC and went 23/26 again. Was a much harder section than PT 36's RC.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
