Nah, you're good, unless you have a really stressful job and can't get away mentally. I'm only taking the afternoon off.BillPackets wrote:hey so i noticed every1 ITT is in AT talking about taking the friday (or week) off before work for the lsat. this thot didnt cross my mind. i dont think i would even be able to bc im taking 12 Sept 2014 off 2 go home for a wedding.

Re: The Official September 2014 Study Group
I just looked through my graded folder and I miss on average less than one per game. I understand LG fundamentals at this point, but I find that I really, really suffer whenever I take time off. I will definitely reprint my most difficult games, but I really wish that Cambridge sold a difficulty packet for PTs after 38.BillPackets wrote:i thot they did? either way, how confident do you feel on games? it's worthwhile to do games more than once, esp if you had trouble w them the first time around. there are several games from 1-38 that are pretty tough...the school bus game, snakes n lizards...there are a couple more.BJS wrote:The packet I have is organized by difficulty. I think all 3 and 4 difficulties from PTs 1-38. I wish they had one for PTs 39-Present.
ETA: decided to suck it up and get the packet for all LG in PT 41-50 because I haven't done those PTs. I love how my budget for LSAT prep products basically becomes a blank check in my mind.

Re: The Official September 2014 Study Group
Just took PT 59 somewhat hungover. I felt kind of off and I guess it showed:
LG -1 (dumb mistake)
LR1 -3 LR2 -6
RC -3
170
I'm still struggling a little with timing issues. I didn't get to the last question in LR1, so I tried to speed it up in LR2 (tried to hit 15 in 15)... which resulted in some misreading and -6. Before today, I'd been missing 2-4 LR questions total. Maybe I'll just go ahead and stick with my 10 in 10, 20 in 26 plan. Who knows. It's frustrating when you put a lot of work in to only go backward (hums Tame Impala).
Also, I hate RC as the last section. I actually liked the Noguchi passage (we have some of his stuff, so I guess I was kind of familiar), but it's just so hard to crunch through so much at the end.
So... I guess I'm off to do some targeted drilling or whatever.

Yeah I took it June. Just one picture will do it; you have to tape or glue it to your admission form.Adrian Monk wrote:have u taken the lsat already? just a q, it says i need a passport size photo, how many do we need, just one right? so we stick it to the admission ticket and we are good? its ok to take water inside the testing room?hereisonehand wrote:just a heads up - they're gonna send that email a couple more times as test day approaches, and then at some point they'll let you know your ticket is available.smccgrey wrote:Just got an email

You can take water into the test room but you're not allowed to consume anything except during the break.

Re: The Official September 2014 Study Group
I gave a friend the LR "cats love to nap, yet they are physically fit" paradox question. She chose 3/5 wrong before I finally just explained it to her.BJS wrote:I sent my friend the logic game from PT25 G3 - the one about people playing ether tennis or golf. He missed five out of the six questions and we got into a thirty minute argument about it. He couldn't understand how K must be better than O in tennis if P played tennis, but K could be worse than O in tennis if P played golf. He was thinking about it in common sense rather than formal logic. He kept equating it to Peyton Manning being better than Aaron Rodgers if Tony Romo is in the NFC, but somehow Manning being worse Rodgers if Romo joined an AFC team.ilikebaseball wrote:One of my friends just tweeted "philosophy is blowing my mind. If M=P and S=M, somehow, S=P?" ohhhhh mannn i wanted to drop some formal logic on his ass. LSAT is taking over my damn life.
I actually dreamt about it yesterday. It was weird. I dreamt that I had the test the day before i was supposed to take it. So I stayed up all night making sure I got everything right. Then, when I finally finished, it was 10 oclock in the morning and I was late for the real test anyway. haha wtf

Arguing about a logic game question? Isn't that like totally cut and dry?
I can understand arguing over a couple LR or RC questions that seem like the credited response is just unbelievably shitty, and even those are very, very rare, but a logic game question? Wtf?

I definitely recommend bringing a protein bar or something to give you a boost during the break.
