The September thread is cool BUT hmmmmm....everytime I go there I get caught up in something that is soooo not LSAT related. WIth 3 weeks left I feel like I should be posting here instead

Edit: I'm also secretly jealous of their high scores

Not so good. I'm stuck in the low 160s and I have no idea how to get out. Its frustrating because I am 100% sure I can do it, I just dont know what exactly I should be doing, plus I'm too broke to pay for a tutor so...I'm a lost cause... thinking about postponing til December.

Sorry to hear that! I don't really have anything to add to all the advice you can find on here as to how to get where you want to be I'm afraid, but I'm sure it can be done!

LR is my worst/hardest to improve on area. I am averaging -10 to 12 right now. RC and LG fluctuate as well but I feel like I can improve on those. For LR my biggest problems are skipping steps and speed. I would try to rush through the questions and end up missing like -3 in the first ten alone.

Finding a balance between speed/accuracy/not skipping steps in LR is going to help me tremendously. Figuring out how to find that balance is my biggest concern right now.

Yayyyy dasani13...wow that elusive 170...that's really really good. Keep it up. I'm inspired :). As for me, I am getting some help on my LG so I should see some improvement soon, I am working on my RC, I'm averaging -4 to 7 right now, drilling lik crazy hoping to get it down to -2 to 3. LR is my biggest issue. What did you do to increase your LR score?

Things are going pretty well for me. Feeling more confident than before June. My last five tests have all been in the low 170s, but I'm worried that I'll end up dropping a couple of points on the actual test. Drilling a lot, which I didn't do before June. Good luck, everyone!

I'm scoring constantly exactly where I want to be (170-172)... But this is driving me paranoid that something is wrong that I'm not catching that's artificially inflating my score. Anxiety is definitely up there right now.

Feeling pretty good that my RC is finally getting more consistent, though it could be that it's because I'm seeing the passages for the second time. If I can get -2/-3 for RC on the exam, I'd be pretty happy. Kind of weird that even though LG is my strongest section, it's also the one I'm most worried about since I absolutely need to go -0 with no stupid mistakes for that 173+ I'm shooting for.

I feel the exact same way! LG is my strongest, but to get the 172 I am aiming for I definitely need a -0 on LG, so I can give myself wiggle room on RC.

I hope that if there is an unusual game this test, it will be a mapping game.

How much of an effect does having done a test before (2-3 months ago) typically have? My last 3 scores have been ridiculously awesome (about 3-4 points more than I was PT'ing at before June, and 8-9 points better than I did in June), but I'm worried I subconsciously am giving myself the right answers.

I guess it depends on each individual's weakness. if your problem is with reading and comprehension, familiarity with the test material will definitely give you an advantage when answering questions. If your problem is with certain logical analysis, which in my opinion is harder to change, it won't matter as much to see the same question again in a couple of months. The best way to find out, of course, will be to use a brand new test. So, save your new test for diagnosis and use your old test for practice. :P

Yeah I'm kind of excited for test day as well. I'm averaging 176 on PTs 36-66 so far, but this is my second time taking them. Still think it counts, since I don't really remember anything about the exams, especially on the RC. Just need to brush up on LG since I'm prone to some brainmeltingly dumb mistakes. How about you? I'm sure you're studying diligently as usual.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
