Welcome, February takers.
Sorry about the less than favorable scores, you've come to the right place.

Throwing my $0.02 in the ring and checking in. 168 in February, pretty disappointed but hoping it was an aberration from 174 PT average. Going to hit the Trainer and PS Bible hard and press for the 175+

Scored 4 points lower than my PT average this February. 168. I'm not happy with the score, but not as down as I thought I'd be. I'm pretty motivated right now. Aiming for 175+ for June.

Re: June 2014 Retakers
Just found out about my 168 on Feb LSAT. I had considered it a practice run and I knew I wasn't doing everything I could have to prepare... but I am disappointed because my preptests in weeks leading up were 172-173.
Lessons I've learned:
A week of late nights cannot be compensated for with a single 9 hour snooze the night before LSAT.
Don't eat 2 cliff bars at break: will feel nasty.
A whole bottle of water at break makes for a sloppy writing sample.
Read a RC passage before test to warm up.
If proctors are whispering to one another, ask them to be quiet immediately, not 13 minutes later.
Practice with 5 minute warning (can be surprising).
Better management of last 5 minutes to ensure every bubble marked.
I know I can do really well... now it's just a matter of making it happen.
I'll be with ya'all in June.

I was initially planning on just reviewing MLSAT LR, LSAT Trainer, and BP LG, drilling, then finishing off my PTs.
I'm thinking of maybe going through velocity and drilling along with the chapters. Not sure yet tho

I'm actually having a pretty good cycle, but i can't shake the nagging feeling that I could get a better score/more money from a school i'm already in at. I took the June and October 2013 tests and went from 165 to 170. I never used the cambridge packets, mostly because i couldn't commit to paying for them when i already had the trainer, manhattan LR, powerscore LG, and every preptest.
anyway, it's been 5 months since I touched any LSAT materials. I think I'll just start by going through the trainer and manhattan, but i was wondering if anyone here was in a similar position, and if so, what are you doing to motivate yourself and what does your study plan look like? i've been toying with the idea of using blueprint for LG, but have also heard good things about velocity. LG is still my weakest section, but obviously at this point, i'm probably rusty across the board. any suggestions/insights, anything at all is much appreciated. looking forward to this journey with you all

I started up last week with the trainer and this week I will be drilling. I'm focused on drilling for the next month or so before PTs. I might also go through the Manhattan LR book again.

It took me a couple days to get motivated, but once I started, I dove right in. Knowing you can score better is a good motivation IMO.Marshmallow wrote:Hi jk! Somehow f'd up February and did 10+ points worse… was testing around 165-170 on my PTs. So discouraged. At this point, I don't even know how to prepare for June.

Re: June 2014 Retakers
Was nervous about the Feb test as it was my first time and I had only truly put in a few weeks of study. From my cold diagnostic (151) I went up to a 156, but it was lower than my PTs low 160s. I'm not shooting for the moon, but I'm hoping to at least get a 163-165 for June. Happy studying everyone!

A lot of us have been at it for a month now. I'd say start immediately while everything is still fresh in your head.90convoy wrote:Just bought LSAT trainer after a disappointing Feb. score. Im not very upset, but I know I can do a lot better. When do y'all plan on starting up again???

I did nothing this weekend related to the LSAT besides quit a PT halfway through.
I am very angry at myself.
