Re: December 2013 LSAT Study Group
No should I? I have all the Powerscore bibles...my plan was to do this one, finish LR by next week, and I have timed PTs for all the newer tests (2010-2013) every Saturday morning plus the Superprep tests plus miscellaneous drilling from older exams. Any other recommended books? My LG score has improved dramatically. was getting -10 or worse now at -2 -1Hotguy wrote:Lmao good job! No that's the second edition. Look for the third one. I got both and 3rd is much better for drills.

Re: December 2013 LSAT Study Group
Well, so far, 7sages is different in that they teach how to read an argument, but in more detail. For example, I am going over a lesson right now that teaches about grammar, Subject, predicate, imbedded clause. This is helpful because there are some LR question that I finish reading and have no idea what I just read. This type of grammar lesson helps deconstruct/breakdown the passage into something that is easier to understand.Hotguy wrote:Hey Erickt26! Good to hear.Erickt26 wrote:Whats up team!
Quick update on the 7sage course. So far, it is going great! I feel like I am beginning to understand the LSAT at a microscopic level.
I scored a 149 on my first diagnostic. I will come back to report any increases.
I never studied 7sage for lr and rc. How are they compared to Manhattan?
It also goes over key words that most of the time have a conclusion as well as premise within the same sentence. But like I said this is my first week out of 10 and I can already see how different the approach that 7sage has is from other prep companies like Blueprint and Manhattan. Plus the course is $165! However, I will continue to make updates as the weeks progress.
For the RC, so far looking at videos to understand the RC from june 2007 PT they have a more realistic way of understanding the passage. What I mean by realistic is that blueprint, for example, make you write on the side a bunch of notes, that take a long time! 7 sages goes more for a memory type of strategy, more about understanding the passage well and then moving through question quick without necessarily having to go back and read the passage. Sorry for any misspelling,

When you get to LR you'll probably want the MLSAT LR too. I think it's easier to handle and more concise than the LRB. I have both. Where ever MLSAT LR lacks, I supplement with the LRB. I started with the LRB but it was too tedious for my liking. Just a thought.cookiecrisp wrote:http://www.amazon.com/Manhattan-Logic-G ... +lsat+bookHotguy wrote:No that's the second edition. Really interesting!! How much time does it take to finish the whole thing though(hours) ?? I'm worried that I wouldn't have time to do it, along with all the other prep I already have..Erickt26 wrote:Well, so far, 7sages is different in that they teach how to read an argument, but in more detail. About 4-5 hours 5 days a week for one month should be more than sufficient. Now remember, I am talking about quality time, the material is not alot but it takes time to understand fully.Hotguy wrote:Really interesting!! It depends on person to person tbh. A nap would do wonders too.
