2nd time taker here, from June as well. There's others here who are retakers who will probably give better advice than me.

Drill the CRAP out of your weaknesses, and if you don't BR, then do so. Do you still have any fresh PTs?

So I'm going to keep with alternating heavy RC and heavy LR + moderate LG, and do full 5-6 section practice tests of the old PTs in weird locations, and weird times. gonna BR PT 53 after watching Independence Day 2 with my dad (he loves bad movies ). went ahead and scored the LG section since I'm not gonna review that part and indeed went -0 . the RC was a bit on the hard side but not too bad. first LR was hard, second LR was average.

double post but I something I noticed: when I do RC, I always answer the questions that look short (short stimulus/short answers) first, they are usually way easier than the longer ones!

I had managed to be waking up in the 6 o clock hour the week before last but then went to the west coast for a few days and literally couldn't fall asleep until past 4am last night. whhyyyy. well, at least we've got some time to figure out this sleep schedule thing
Uggh that sucks! I live on the West Coast so it's soo hot here literally 24 hours a day. I'm dying even with the AC on.

I know what you mean about not being able to sleep. I've been going to bed around midnight regularly and last night I tried to sleep ~11:30pm and it was SO difficult. My goal for right now is to sleep at 11pm and wake up at 6am, that way I can slowly ease into 5am lol.

I also used really the wrong strategy... 5 mins was called as I was going onto the third [so a bit slower than usual] and I decided to try to skim for some idea of tone and such. That doesn't work. I think the best strategy for this case may be to just read the first and last paragraph... see if anything jumps out as MP and try to see if there's a list question then guess on the rest. I'll work on more humanities art type stuff...the first passage ate up too much time. For future PTs, I think I'll approach RC in the following way - skip the passage with the fewest questions and do it last.
The Manhattan RC guide dedicates a chapter to when you run out of time on a passage, they say to read the first and last lines of each paragraph slowly and skim the middle portions, notice shifts in the language, and for questions prioritize. When I did the drills what I did was spent my time on the passage (I usually am 2-3 minutes) and I just tried to match my answers by confirming with the text.

Also you said time was called when you were in the third, maybe nerves were a factor versus doing it comfortably at home. I think drilling the passages might help timed OR doing RC sections from earlier tests timed.

Gah, endless heat is the worst D: I grew up in the WC but in a pretty dry area where it gets cold af at night, so I always get surprised how hot it stays at night on the humider-ish east coast.
That's a good idea! I'm just going to try to shift gradually, forcing myself to wake up earlier and earlier, and hopefully get back in swing.

Not sure if this was mentioned earlier in the thread or not, but has anyone else noticed 7Sage being slow AF? I've reset my modem countless times in hopes of speeding up the internet, but so far all attempts at making 7Sage load faster have been futile. Super annoying.

Okay, strange question.

I have a super lazy eye, and that makes tracking text really difficult for me... this is only really an issue when I'm bubbling, as I struggle to line up the bubble to the number. Does anyone have any advice for that? I honestly think mis-bubbling would be my biggest issue on the actual test. Should I just focus on getting faster at the sections so I have more time to bubble?

It's not your internet, it's their site/app. It has been slow and unresponsive for several of us.

I dunno what's been going on with me recently but I think I'm just burning out a little bit. I've been studying consistently for almost 6 months now with the occasional day off here and there. My motivation has been struggling. I quit during the middle of PT 72 today, I just wasn't feeling confident and I've recently been testing worse than I was before the June test. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe I shot myself in the foot by studying too much material other than PT's after June. I'm thinking maybe a should take a couple days off, finish power score and then go back to straight testing (which is when I was at my best anyway, before June I had finished manhattan's curriculum as well). Any other advice or experience with this?

Apparently, I really messed up bubbling, so my drop wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. I literally have zero idea what happened there. I'm going to score the test based off of what I wrote in my booklet... I don't think it'll be vastly different either way.

So far, I've BRd LG...

LG was -5 on test [-8 if I include the bubbling mess up]; -1 G2, -3 G3, -1 G4 {LG 3 just threw me off on the test so much}
BR LG was -0 [obv.]

just finished scoring PT 53. oh man I felt a 180 coming but got (comparatively) wrecked by the RC. also my first time doing a 5 section test and RC was last, so I felt somewhat drained.

Score 175

I started studying for the LSAT in 2014 for the June 2015 test. Did 10 points worse on the June test than my PT average, took a year off, and now studying for the LSAT again. I totally forgot how neurotic people are when studying for the LSAT and I got to say I feel like I found my people. Thank you all for keeping me thoroughly entertained and happy to join the neurotic.

best thing i've found is just keeping you mind focused on the prize. Bring a couple LGs with you and take a 5 minutes break to do one occasionally. Past that just maximize your free time. i found that after work and then hitting the gym, i wouldnt get home until like 730 and would be too burnt out to study, so now i try to hit the gym before work, go straight from work to starbucks and do some prep and be done everything by around 730-8.

4th time taker here. You can learn the test. Drilling and PTing is important, but reviewing what you're doing wrong and working on improving weakness is equally important. Identify what is holding you back and master it.

I've been using 7sage on crappy Asian-hotel wifi for weeks, and so far I've experienced no more difficulty with their website as I have with any other website (which is still a decent amount, the internet in this place blows). When I use it at work I haven't had any issues though.

Semi-related to this, I'm finally heading back to the States this weekend. Has anybody ever tried using 7sage on in-flight wifi? I've got a crapton of hours to kill from Hong Kong-->Seattle-->New York and want to bang out a bunch of stuff on the flight. I know from previous experiences with plane wifi that streaming videos isn't allowed, sucks up too much data, but I'm hoping that I could VPN it or something.
