Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
Anyone else having LSAT nightmares? I dreamt last night that there was a new experimental section that involved running through caves being chased by my former college classmates. Dream-me still managed a very respectable 168 though.
Taking PT 69 today.

Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
are there specific sections where you mainly improved? how were different sections in oct and are now?slizerd wrote:It took a month. and during that month, I did NOTHING LSAT RELATED AT ALL. I was scoring low 170s all up until the October test (with a dip down to high 160s nearer to the actual test, ugh), then got a 170 in Oct. Didn't study at all between Oct 3 and Nov 1 - took a PT Nov 1 and got a 178. Every PT since then has been at least 176. I think I really just needed that break.WorthlessDegree wrote:For those scoring in the high 170's, how long did it take to jump from the low 170's to high?
i see that i improve in LG with break but not so much in other sections where it may even go down.

i usually feel burnt out for a week after taking a PT. but i am considering taking a pt or some sections during the week.gamerish wrote:I'm taking 76 tomorrow and 68 on Wednesday. I'm gonna study on Thursday though.Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Should I take 75 or 74 tomorrow? I'm thinking tomorrow, Wednesday, and that's it.
Holy crap that's it.
Feel the same way. Gonna drill like a madman on Tuesday.
75 was the worst I've ever done on a PT so I'm biased against it.

Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
I'm the opposite there, my LG feels harder after a break, it's RC that improves the most. I think having a clearer head really helped with increased reading comprehension . in Oct I was going -5-7 on RC and now it's usually -2-3. LR in Oct was -3ish each section, now usually -1-2. Definitely adds up to a higher score fast!appind wrote:are there specific sections where you mainly improved? how were different sections in oct and are now?slizerd wrote:It took a month. and during that month, I did NOTHING LSAT RELATED AT ALL. I had a nightmare about the White and Black swans (likely because of a comment I read on here). Shit is getting real.

I am your clone. But only if you score higher on the LSAT than me so I can co-opt your score.slizerd wrote:Are you my clone?seashell.economy wrote:1. Freaking out.velvet-lou wrote:what are you ppl doing prior to the exam this week?

Let's both aim for the highest possible so we have double the chance of co-opting a beautiful scoreseashell.economy wrote:I am your clone. Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
omg you're so sweet. Thank you so much. I see the connection now. Ah, why couldn't I see it myselfMcJimJam wrote:Can you be specific on what you're failing to grasp?cheeseee wrote:I re-read the last passage of PT 76 (negative evidence/mercury). I still don't get the connection. What's what? Can someone help?
Passage A: Introduces Popper's view (negative evidence tantamount to disproving/positive evidence irrelevant) and disagrees with it. A believes that there are other possible explanation that could explain the problem while maintaining the accuracy of the theory. (that black swan is actually covered in soot, but is actually white)
Passage B: Basically an example of the stuff discussed in the first passage. Uranus found, Newton's law used to predict orbit. Prediction wrong (at this point according to Popper Newton's theory would be disproved). Scientist had assumed there were no planets near enough to Uranus to effect its orbit, checked again found Neptune (disturbing factor).
The second paragraph shows a similar situation with predicting Mercury's orbit. Problem again, this time they didn't find another planet. Einstein's theory introduced and fit better, hence, Newton's rejected.
Let me know if I missed anything or didn't cover what you were stuck on.
