It has gotten pretty lively here
Took my first timed PT (PT A) and got a 165. Hopefully, my BR score will be much higher. Unfortunately, I have had to slow my studying down considerably because I just got hired as a legal secretary, full time
...and my girlfriend and I breaking up probably factors in a little too
prepping for law school has already cost two (admittedly casual) relationships...

Go on a date. (You’re studying for the LSAT, you’re obviously single or will be very soon.)" I laughed when I first saw it. Then it happened... twice
Anyways, anyone have any thoughts on enrolling in a JD/MBA program? I hear NYU's JD/MBA program does not require a GMAT score, as they are willing to evaluate you with your LSAT score, which seems pretty awesome. I wonder if any other schools do that... anyone know?

I've been interested in JD/MBA programmes, but I've only looked at the Canadian side of the border so far.
Congrats on your first timed test being a 165. That's quite good.

What is it, specifically, about the LOLSAT that has cost you two relationships? Not enough time spent with the SO? What do you plan to do with a JD/MBA?thingone wrote:It has gotten pretty lively here![]()

As for reasons for JD/MBA, I'll come back and write out the list. Food's waiting

It sounds like this would only apply to a select group of people as instead of the GMAT or GRE you need to demonstrate you can do math.thingone wrote:Anyways, anyone have any thoughts on enrolling in a JD/MBA program? I considered it. But then I decided I want to attempt to have a life in law school, and I don't want to just collect degrees.

There's downsides. Like being overqualified for jobs or not specializing in one thing enough.msp8 wrote:I've always kind of liked the idea of this.JackelJ wrote:I don't want to just collect degrees.
Don't get me wrong, being interdisciplinary is great up to a point though.

I'm afraid of waking up at age 30 with multiple degrees, half a million in debt, and no job.JackelJ wrote:There's downsides. Just finished june 2007. Felt pretty good, but the RC was tough. Left one question blank on section 3 (second LR) and just put B for the last 4 of RC bc time. Thought the LG was actually pretty easy. As was the first LR. We'll see I guess. Most confident/least angry I've felt about an LSAT test so far.

I usually do well when I feel the worst post-PT, and tank when I feel great.TheWalkingDebt wrote:Just finished june 2007. Felt pretty good, but the RC was tough. Yeah. I find the 'specialising' component terribly daunting. I've actually grappled with this for years. I was speaking to someone recently on this subject, and they summarized my position as not knowing what I want to do, which may be true, but feels like simplistic. Truthfully, there's so much I want to do that I hate the idea of specialising.JackelJ wrote:There's downsides. To date, I've been engaged in a lot of different things. My thinking now is to try specialising and then branch out from there.
