On monday, I'll have been out of school for three years. No regrets.

could be studying for UG final right now, instead im combining docs in acrobat. ill let you decide which is worse.

i'm getting paid to browse TLS, so this is exactly like UG.

Oh for sure, I'm not denying the value in taking gap years. I just don't personally see that value for myself so much. I mean I'll have like a gap of 9 months, I graduate in two weeks and I have a paralegal position during that time before LS, so maybe I'll reap some benefit of that time off. But, I feel like if I took more than that off, I'd start to feel at loss.

I know the feeling, churro. I can only speak from my perspective, but when I graduated, I had every intention of 1-2 years max of my "unfulfilling" job before going back to school. It has surprised me and provided more growth, opportunity, maturity, and perspective than I ever would have thought it capable of doing. So, even though I'm close to half a decade older than most in this thread, I'm sure I'm a much stronger candidate today than I would have been right out of undergrad.

Alright, I'll shut up now and go back to my prune juice and crossword puzzles.

Writing my personal statement makes me miss studying for the LSAT

Yeah that's not so much of a unique position, most of my friends and family have voiced the same concerns. But, I've decided that this is something I want to do, and I'm not that interested in waiting around for a couple of years working a job that I'm probably not going to be fufilled in. I mean I'm a PS major, so the options are relatively limited post-grad. Also, I've worked a couple of campaigns, and decided that I probably don't like politics. That's not say that I'm doing this out desperation for nothing better to do, however. I'm just not completely convinced that another year or two are really going to change my mind or anything.

i mean working an unfulfilling non-end game job was never the purpose of my gap years. it was to ensure i had ample time to apply, to save up some pocket money, and to do things that education would likely get in the way of, like spending every weekend in the woods or reading for fun.

Maybe I'm living in a bubble. Probably because both of my parents + all grandparents, got their masters/PhD's right after UG. But, I think my decision will work itself out.

I'm aiming for a Jan 4th submission date...or as soon as I get my score.

I'm planning on submitting everything the day that scores come out. Gotta finish up my PS. Aiming to have that done and peer reviewed by the 31st.

Idk I'm doing mine the 4th I'd rather go into the process with the knowledge of my score than not. I applied to some t20's with my old score, because it was more than enough. But I'm not going to apply to the T14 with the score though.
